Great product

I know people saying that UAD products no longer relevant in 2024 and they overpriced but it simply not true. There are no competitors still in this price range that can do what this interface can. It sounds amazing build quality is amazing and it comes with a bunch of plugins so you can create right away. If you small artist and you want to record your Vocals/Instruments in home studio environment this interface is definitely the way. Highly recommended.

Great Value

Apollo solo is a great interface specially for the high-quality pre-amps and the plug-ins that comes with it.

If you are starting is the pro-level of music production and mixing, this is for you.

Overall Good

Due to limited processing power you will most likely not get a lot of use out of the UAD Plugins, that wasn't my reason for my puchase anyways, as i just wanted a interface i was used to (UAD Twin) and the minimalistic optics - compared to a lot of the competitors' overcomplicated and frankly *ugly* design - definitely made me go with the Apollo Solo. So far it does its job as an interface well, it feels well built and high quality (again, compared to certain competitors absolute TRASH plastic interfaces) , if and when i will upgrade, i will most likely stay with UAD.

Great Interface, Super sound, but Unreliable Software

I returned this mainly due to my M1 Macbook crashing and being unstable when it is connected, also my plugins don't engage correctly with it. Support for M1 Macs seems not yet native or correct. Sadly I really liked the sound of the interface and it looks and feels great! The hardware team did a fantastic job, just the software and drivers completely fails this.

Cons

For Apple Silicons: relatively hard to setup for the first time

Console is relatively complex for some beginners

not for people who want to use more UA plugins.

Great interface and Great plugins

This is a great device! sound quality is phenomenal and it looks great, the controls are well thought out and it’s small size and bus-powered capability make it easy to take with you.

Even without the plugins, the Apollo Solo USB is an absolutely professional sounding interface and the plugins sounds amazing , the UAD versions of plugins are one of the best on the market that I've found. and the interface has a good sensitive preamp. Would recommend to anyone involved in mixing and music production in general.

HARDWARE BUILT:

Really nice audio interface. Great built, nice aesthetics and really practical to work with. The control buttons and knob definitely help with the workflow.

SOUND QUALITY:

No comment... crisp and clear no hiss or background distortion sound. This audio interface completes the power of my monitors. I sound so much professional now, its just another dimension.

FEATURES:

UA Console 2.0...do your homework!..its a really amazing powerful tool for monitoring, recording...with really cool features. Easy to get your hands on. Make sure to put time and dedication to learn it.

UA Plug-Ins make my sound so much professional it gives me goosebumps...(whisper) dont tell my wife i might spend some of our savings on UA plug-ins.

LUNA...its the next upcoming big thing! It blends perfectly analog and digital sound with so much amazing cool features. There is so much to say about it...I definitely encourage everybody to take a look.

CONS:

Not really cons but what you need to know is UA plug ins are so amazing that you will come to crave for more (im 300% sure!). Unfortunately one DSP chip is not enough even if there exist tricks to save on DSP power. Fortunately the other way around is to use a UAD Satellite Accelerator (Quad or Octo) to enjoy even better the Apollo Solo

excellent interface with a bunch of additonal plug ins

The hardware is simply amazing, its versatile, easy to use and you dont need a power supply it gets it power straight from the Macbook. I did only put 4 stars on the features and overall because at that price they should include the TB3 cable, that is simply not acceptable.

As far as the plug ins go, they are incredible, the only problem is figuring out what you actually have included in this heritage bundle, so you will need the internet since nowhere else is it mentioned. When you register you get an offer to buy addtionnal plug in packs at an incredible price but be careful, figure out what you already own before building your pack or you might end up including one you already own.

Its a truly amazing product, but UA make it very hard for you to just use only the plug ins you have, slowing your workflow by user interface tricks to get you to try out and purchase more plug ins, and thats a shame as it gets annoying.

oh and dont buy any plug in for its full price as you will get regular offers with massive discounts for the plug ins.
