Amazing Interface

There is not need to comment on UAD. The quality and service are unique. The product itself is totally worth the money. Pro studio in your bedroom and this end of the year deal of FREE Neve preamp in Unison mode of the DUO saves you a few bucks in case you have planned to get some hardrware preamp. USB transfer with buffer size set ia what yoi have expected.

Pandora's Box

I've come from an RME HDSP 9632 which I was very pleased with its low latency, general features, and I've used it for over 10 years. However, it was time to upgrade my Audio Interface and I've chosen this one.

Pros - General sound quality feels in somehow superior, but that might be biased for the present monitor positioning. The hardware is practical, the knob feels great and looks great as well. The UAD plugins are something else - really analogue feel!

Cons - A thing I noticed right away was by the time I opened some heavy projects, there was some "chocking" due to the buffer size. When projects got heavier, I pushed my old rme to a buffer size of 4096, however, in the Twin, the limit is set to 2048. Not a major issue, meaning I should make more use of the freeze tool. I also sensed the unit running hot in the first week I got it, (an extremely hot week with my studio reaching 30º Celsius). Luckily I have a small laptop cooler who did is work just fine, cooling the Apollo perfectly.

Conclusion: Get it! All it matters is Music, and this will be an important asset regarding your generals' sound quality. Feels great, sounds great, and the UAD plugins just seal the deal.

Just Awesome

For years I have been a bit sceptical about Universal Audio products, as they were pricey and I have found cheaper solutions on the market which quality wise served me very well. My previous interface blacked out and Apollo was spontaneous choice for me. I had some difficulties with compatibility on my PC, so I had to do some upgrades, which went with the price more up. Now that I use it for some time, I have to say it is really great product, plugins are awesome and workflow is easy and smooth. Especially Unison preamps, just incredible. Only con I can think off is that dsp is running out pretty fast with those newer plugins, so it requires printing stuff and commiting.

Get it now

If you need an interface that will raise your game, this is it, I wish I got it sooner but it was worth the wait regardless. Plugins that come with it are flawless and its so easy to add more on top, this product also comes with a free plugin and download code for further discount on another. Simply put, one of the best interfaces on the market right now

Excellent quality

Prior to this I worked on interface Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.

I decided to buy Universal Audio Apollo Twin USB Duo.

When I installed on a computer, we made a trial recording to two Audio Interface Scarlett and Apollo, using the microphone Neumann Tlm170R. Entries were differences in detail and surround sound linearity. Apollo has a good direct monitoring. This is the best choice of 2 channel cards.

Easy functional keys on the front panel of the card. Slice the bass and pad, there is phase reversal button, volume knob with excellent indekatsiey volume (that does not need to buy separately). There is also a mute button when you press the volume knob. UAD Plugins qualitatively all that I have heard before. Good preamps and compressors.

uses outdated SHARC® DSP and severely overpriced locking into their plugin ecosystem, so you end up spending a lot of money while being tied up to the brand.

Just great!

Love it.

Upgraded from a Foucusrite-RME set up.

Sounds better, great plugins, the Consoloe interface is very intuitive and flexible.

Nice to have it all on a small desktop unit.

Could be nice to have MIDI connections and a second headphones output. It wasn't a deal breaker for me, I've got a headphone amp and I bought a cheap Midi-Usb interface.

Good Product

I won't bore you with the details about how amazing it is... do a search online for Apollo Twin reviews and see for yourself.

However, as a Windows user, I'm very pleased to report that the interface itself is extremely stable. Hats off to UAD for writing some rock solid drivers... it's been a little over a week now since I received my Apollo unit and I haven't had any issues with it on Windows10 x64. Definitely a testament to the quality and reliability you come to expect from Universal Audio.

If you're on Windows and on the fence about purchasing an Apollo Twin, this is as good as it gets and I promise you wont be disappointed.

Just wow...

I've been playing with this toy for the past 5 hours and Im surprised of everything you can do... it requieres a long time to get used to every single plug in but the sound you got from this it's just insane. I would say it's the best USB audio baord in market so far.

A perfect choice

Built like a tenk, great preamps, latency free recording with the best plugins on Earth. Great for mobile studio use too.

You just can't go wrong with Apollo Twin Duo.
