Good unit for home recording

I really like the UA brand and their products. When I needed an interface, I went to their offerings. My situation includes guitar and synths. For both of those cases, I can say the unit performs very well.

Best home card out there.

Best one. Especially with this hardware monitoring i get 0 latency and easily use this card for backing tracks. I should have gotten one with more outputs and probably will. But I won't sell this one. Very good build, sound excellent and I got some cool plugins as well. Best buy! Maybe iconectivity is a bit better but I got this one because of ease of use.

Audio Interface

Excellent quality for such a price, everything works perfectly and the sound is good, everything is thought out and worth the money.

Great interface

I use this for home recording. Electric, acoustic guitar, vokals, drums n stuff. Good preamps with enough gain to cover most of your needs. The built-in Compressor and vintage button is both nice and actually usable. I’ve seen people use these as outboard effekts by running the signal from DAW through interface and engaging the effekts. Can add some nice flair to your mixes. It looks great and seems to be solid built.

Sound quality is so nice

Being a user for many years, I switched from Fasttrack Pro to this after some research and quite happy with the result now. Mainly using for guitar recording and it is big jump on the sonic quality. Headphone output is amazing. I was using Akg but was not aware before that it can perform at these levels.

Using in windows at to install drivers & softwares were very smooth.

One missing item is that the loopback feature. I wish that it was included.

Probably the best AI in this price range

The building quality is outstanding, feels robust and the knobs are sturdy. The vintage button adds depth and a different feel. The possibilty to have a built-in compressor is a great feature, also for live monitoring. Having midi and 2 additional input lines adds flexibility. Easy to work around. I took one star off on features because you can´t use UAD Luna with this device, and because redeeming all the including software /plug-ins is really annoying --one needs to create multiple accounts--, and not all the plug-ins work in, e.g. Logic Pro. Also, I noticed the device slightly overheating when using only the USB cable for powering. I recommend using the AC even when the cable alone will power it. Other than that, this is an amazing little device.

A compact audio interface with contemporary functionality and high-quality output. It is a closer touch and professional sound experience for a fair price.

Sound is good, easy to use, but after a while the volume knob got some noise when I adjust.

Amazing!

Excellent, amazingly sounding sound card I ever used. Best investment for home studio in budget segment. I would recommend that!

Almost perfect!

First of all I love this interface! Beautiful pre amps, amazing sound, easy to use. Just great. But the only issue I had was that there were minor scratches and one of them chipped the paint on one of the letters so it was kinda of annoying because I bought it new.

A cool little device

Bought it as an audio-interface specifically for live shows.

It has 4 in/out ports, is small, fairly light, quite comfortable to carry around, and has that sleek UA design to it.

Functions and routing are easy to understand due to coloured lights in buttons - be advised however that it has no routing app, and all I/O changes must be done via the device itself (by pressing corresponding buttons). I had no problems with this fact, but some may find this troublesome.

Built-in vintage compressor and amp presets are also a cool feature.

Would recommend.

Super interface audio pour enregistrer des microphones

Agréable à utiliser, peu encombrante, avec une belle qualité sonore, et un compresseur embarqué qui sonne bien, globalement, c'est une super interface.

Utilisée dans Logic Pro, le son est propre, le compresseur facile à enclencher, et j'adore la présence de boutons physiques pour tout régler, du compresseur au switch mono ou aux sources diffusée dans le casque.

Ce que j'aime le plus :

- retours visuels sur la coque (vu mètre par entrée et par sortie),

- 4 potards vintage, 12 boutons poussoir rétro-éclairés,

- la simplicité des pré-réglages du compresseur 76,

- la présence de l'interrupteur sur la face arrière.

Ce que j'aime le moins : l'absence de description des 3 pré-réglages du compresseur 476 (VOC = Vocal / GTR = Guitare, FAST =rapide).

Le manuel s'abstient de décrire techniquement le compresseur.

Sur le site web d'UA, j'ai trouvé que :

Ratio de compression = 6:1

VOC = Attaque à 2ms / retour (release) à 300ms

GTR = attaque à 1.5ms / retour à à 700ms

FAST = attaque à 30 microsecondes = 0,03ms / retour à 35ms

mais je n'ai pas trouvé le seuil (threshold) de déclenchement.

Le réglage Vintage est encore moins décrit : c'est un son type préampli à tube type UA 610....

Pour les gens comme moi qui n'ont jamais entendu ce préampli UA 610 comme moi, cette explication, c'est du flou.

L'interface audio est abordable, mais à ce prix on peut vouloir des données techniques, donc "le son du préampli à tube l'UA 610", c'est un peu court.

En dehors de cet agacement sur cette absence d'information technique, c'est quand même une très bonne interface, très agréable à utiliser, à la fois par la qualité sonore, par les contrôles sur la coque, par le fait que ça ne sature jamais.
