easy to carry

Easy to carry robust and adequate sound delivery from a small multi effect unit to put before an amp. would be better if it also had a reverb effect . Good price too

First pedal

I have Mustang LT25 and I bought looper pedal in order to practice scales and some beginner improvisations over chords. But, since you can’t change the tone on the Mustang amp without affecting the looper, i bought this Valeton mini effect pedal, putted in front of the looper, set the clean tone on the amp, and I can add different tones to my improvisations. Its great.

It has OD, chorus and delay and for someone like me who play and practice only at home, this is great addition.

Also, its very easy to use and I have started getting into pedals. I am not sure if this is smart decision :), but at least I am happy :)

I am now looking for some tube amp that can be used at home

This pedal is everything you'll ever need for electric guitar!!!!

Okay, I'll be honest with you. It's hard to find distortion pedal that suits your needs, but Valeton did amazing job with this fantastic multi-pedal. I have BOSS DS-1 and Valeton Dapper Mini has abnormally better distortion than big BOSS. I really admire the switch between overdrive and distortion. When you need it, you just flick it! Personally, I'd rather have separated footswitch for OD and DS, but if you're OK with flicking with finger then this is right for you. Chorus is very good, but far from perfect and that doesn't bother me. Delay is some sort of digital type and it does the job amazingly, especially manual mode for time value. The tuner is ok, you can't expect something so good from that because it's just a bonus. All in all, amazing pedal strip, I recommend it to all guitarists there, you won't be disappointed. I'll have it on my pedalboard till I die!

It's a bargain

Will be buying a second one soon. Well built. It sounds how you tweak it. Easy to get usable sounds. It's tiny.

The essentials in a compact package

Great value, all the essentials delay/chorus/drive/tuner all in one tiny package. Well thought out, bright led indicators, small footprint and adequate control for all functions. If I was to add one more item it would be a minimal preamp control for tone & gain, but at the price this packs all the essentials. I fitted strong magnets on the base of mine for easy attachment to the amp handle metal parts, OK that's no use for feet but as a hand control it simplifies a mobile/busking style package. I would certainly buy it again if lost or damaged.

A feel-good FX unit

This one sits nicely in front of my amps and gives me that extra thing when I want to record something with a bit of "chorus-y" sound or add a bit of gain (featuring a useful OD-Dist switch).

The delay is a bit nahhhh but then again who would record a delayed sound without a really good FX pedal/unit?

For it's price tag is just great, it feels good having it over there, really convenient.

For live use, wouldn't recommended it as it's so small you may lose it under the monitor wedge :-p

But then again, not all people have the same needs, so just go for it.

Perfect little pedalboard for the lead guitar

This is a pretty good small pedalboard. It has everything a lead guitarist needs. In fact I used this small thing to record a pretty renowned norwegian punk band. And the lead guitarist chose this little thing above his boss pedals. His arguments were simple ,no risk of grounding issues and does the job on a lead guitar just as good as the more pricey big brothers. We ended up not using the distortion section but a slight lift with the OD instead along with the marshall overdrive engaged. The plexi lead was astonashong along with these little gem.

Very nice on the fly pedal.

It's small, will fit in your guitarcase.

Has all the basic effects

Sounds very good!

I needed a small pedal as a back-up for my pedalboard, and for jams and small gigs.

Tried the Boss ME80, but that still is too complicated for me.

And i don't like the Boss drives.

This thing sounds good, especially for the price!

Only con i can think of is that headphone volume isn't loud enough.

Fantastic 4-in-1 solution

All effects sound and work great. The tuner's decent. The metal chassis feels sturdy but the switches seem slightly flimsy. The chorus switch seems to have worn a little bit after repeated use of the tuner and some of knobs feel a bit stiff but overall it's very solid and will hopefully last for years.

I use it mainly at home but it's also very easy to take along to rehearsals and so on as it easily fits into a gigbag and all you need is to make sure you don't forget the power supply.

Overall, great product, strongly recommend!

Easy to use mini-fx pedal

I didn't quite know when to expect when I was buying this, but now that I have it, I'm quite impressed.

The Valeton Dapper Mini 4 is really a mini effects strip - from the tip of my fingers to the end of my palm. Made in China but built strong; completely of metal with 3 easy to use effects - overdrive + distortion (but you can use only one of the two at a time), digital delay and chorus. There's a tuner too.

The overdrive is a bit soft (maybe its my Ibanez AS73 semi-acoustic jazz guitar) but the digital delay and chorus both sound great and are extremely easy to use. The sound is clean and does exactly what I want it to do. I use it with an Ibanez AS-73 jazz guitar and with an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro IV bass.

I haven't used this on stage yet but for a hobby musician like me, this gives me a lot of options in a single pedal. All in all, I recommend for anyone looking for a sub-100¤ toy to play with.

Great sound, small and simple

I have this small pedal few weeks and I love it. I play mostly jazz, funk and blues. The overdrive is smooth and very musical as well as the distortion. The delay and chorus sound great too. The pedal has also nice tuner. Very practical thing is the headphone output which has speaker sim so it can be used to plug the pedal into PA - I would wish this would be 6.3 jack. That is the only complain. Otherwise, it is small, it fits in my guitar bag, sounds great and it is cheap. Perfect choice for rehearsals and small gigs.
