nice pair to start with

the pair I have has a slight issue with matching tones. It is more obvious on practice pad. Also one of them is very slightly bent. Overall they have a good weight that would satisfy users who prefer their stick not to be light and have a distinct presence. Plus the color is sweet.

Good sticks

Very good sticks, easy to play at fast tempos, feels perfect in hands. Good material.

feels good.

The faded wood finish feels good!

Good cheap sticks

These work well, but tend to break easier than the more expensive sticks, but they will be just fine for a beginner or a player that doesn't play that hard. They feel the same as other good drum sticks and have similar weight.

Great value!

These are the only sticks I use at the moment, for both practicing and concerts. I can use them easily for all of the styles I play. I don't hit too hard but I'm not a soft hitter either.

Pros:

- Each stick lasts at least a month, if not longer for me.

- Very good price (almost half the price of what you would get in a store)

- Nice colour.

Cons:

- Cymbals and toms now have red spots on them, but that is probably to be expected with coloured sticks.

- I've had a single occurence of the olive breaking off the stick or snapping in half.

Good price, decent quality

Good sticks for practising. The sticks are not that heavy to be a 5A but they are decent to use them if you are looking for the thickness of a 5A and the weight of a 7A.

great budget desperation before payday stick

not the best weight matching, but i go through them as the wood quality is low, but as expected from a budget stick.

good grip, rock on

the colour is very beautifull and the grip is fabulous, but the weight is not that great. for pactice i absolutly love them, but i dont know if i would use to play on a gig.

Unexpensive, but sound does not match

Different pitch in the sticks. Did not expect this from Vic Firth.

Feel lighter than the classic Vic Firth 5A.

Price makes up for it though. Still have to test resistance over long time, I will use them for practice.

Beginners Sticks????

Not sure why these NOVAs are called beginners sticks, I found them to be of really high quality. Like all Vic Firths, they have great smooth feel and are well balanced as a pair.

Bought them for myself but after seeing me play with them, my 7-year old son nagged them off me. His favourite colour is red after all!!

Would definitely buy these again.
