It's Vic Firth quality

I have used many Vic Firth sticks, and rarely used Nova. But these ones seem more durable than some higher end Vic Firth sticks. They are heavy, and nylon tips really bring extra punch to both drums and especially to the cymbals.

More than you expect

I heard that Nova drumsticks are made with Vic Firth's wood scraps so probably that's the main reason why these sticks cost half the price of a regular "main brand" pair, but until now i haven't found some real flaws in the 3 pairs i played with.

There's some slight burr molding on the nylon tips that i quickly sanded off with some fine grit sandpaper and you could find some nodes in the wood of the sticks that you normally wouldn't find since they would be discarded during the production process, but they don't compromise the solidity or the playability and i haven't broke or lost any tip so far.

Also they lack of lacquer, which is one of my favorite aspects about these drumsticks because they feel really good in my hands and makes them hard to slip away, like a "nude" or a natural finish pair.

I find them as durable as the other more expensive sticks, and if you are like me a "all-rimshots" hard hitting player that will tear even the thickest sticks in a few hours you might really like these since you can get twice as many sticks as you would buying other brands' sticks.

I think i'm gonna get a supply of these very soon
