Does it's job

Great sound and feel. Heavier and bulkier than they look

A quality and convenient pair

Great substitute for the classic rodes for me.

The vinyl sodas with a plastic handles. The only drawback is the strong and pungent smell of plastic after opening the package, which made me dizzy and nauseous. But this smell passed after 2-3 days.

Good product and I recommend it.

Un buon compromesso

Questi hot rod sono un buon compromesso se si vuole qualcosa che duri più a lungo di quelli in legno, motivo che mi ha spinto a scegliere questo articolo. Infatti dopo 8h effettive di utilizzo, non ho riscontrato alcun segno di deterioramento. Ci sono però alcune differenze/difetti tra questi e i classici hot rod, che possono più o meno essere trascurate a seconda dei gusti. In primo luogo sono parecchio grossi in termini di diametro, tant'è vero che riprendendo in mano delle 5a sembravano degli stuzzicadenti in confronto; inoltre, essendo le bacchette realizzate in un materiale plastico e quindi elastico, tendono a rimbalzare un po' meno rispetto a quelle in legno; non sembrano essere eccezionalmente resistenti al tatto ed infine l'anello di gomma che tiene unite le varie "stecche" è totalmente inutile, in quanto si distrugge dopo qualche botta, ma niente che non possa essere risolto con un po' di nastro adesivo. Dal punto di vista del suono, non ho riscontrato grosse differenze sempre rispetto agli hot rod in legno.

In definitiva sono un buon compromesso se ciò che si cerca come caratteristica principale in questo tipo di articolo è la durata.

More bend than you think!

These are very well made, and light weight.

These are difficult to play with right of the box, and will take some practice, these bend and allow you to mute the head more than with other brushes and rods, so these are ideal for those sort of pitch bending ideas.

They don't really work for backbeat music, but are more for solo's and contemporary playing.

Good product.

These are very strong and durable. I broke the gum which holds the rutes together, but it is normal as it's been smacked over the cymbals. Gaffa tape can easily fix that.
