Vic Firth VFX5A Extreme 5A -Wood- Reviews
New Classic
Moved from the classic 5a's and instantly fell in love with the added length. Really makes faster double strokes feel easier and like you can get more whip into them.
My go to sticks
I've always played Vic Firth and for a long time layed 5A's but I felt they lacked in length. The 5A extreme is a little longer without comprimising the feel of a 5A.
Vic Firth sticks are consistent with quality.
My beloved
Vic firth is just perfect. This model it suits my needs more than anything else
Great sticks!
These sticks are simply perfect for my general pop/rock playing. Great balance and feel. Durability is great also. After I discovered these there is no turning back!
Well balanced, amazing feel, longer reach!
This pair of sticks has an amazing feel in my hands.
They are well balanced which is expected since it is Vic Firth.
The extra length gives longer reach and a more comfortable room for grip depending on what you are playing.
No cons for these durable and rigid sticks.
Buy Tree Trunks if you're a rim shot guy . . .
In the bands I play I always land on a rim shot because you get more beef from your snare, it's like steak and I get a really tasty sound. The downside to this is I go through sticks like crazy. These are great sticks though, they are long and feel good when I play but I do recommend getting 1A's if you're going to smack the kit hard because you'll get through these in about 10 hours of going at it.
Vic Firth 5A
This pair of Vic Firth´s are probably the ones i like most.
They are very well finished and they are very well balanced.
The are very realible and durable.
You can´t get better for this price range.
Vic firth VFX5A
have been using this stick for years, an extra half inch longer then the normal 5A, makes a massive difference. Nicely weighted and perfect for most styles.
