Victory Amplifiers V212-VG Cabinet 5-stars Reviews
Big sounding cabinet
I've only ever owned 4x12s except for one Mesa Roadster 2x12 with V30s. I bought it to reduce the size and weight of my equipment and hopefully not the sound too much. The Mesa was a smaller 2x12 and did not have a chance against the 4x12. I play a 7 string and had to completely turn down the bass to get the cab loud enough to play with a band. I sold it and stuck with my 1960AV. I decided to try the Victory as it was a bit bigger and matched the Super Kraken I bought at the same time. I immediately swapped one of the V30s for a G12K-100 without even listening to it first.
So I cant say exactly how it sounded from the factory. But the construction , build and look of the cab are all 1st Tier. I love the vertical orientation of the speakers, projects upward like a slanted 4x12, not at my ankles like most other 2x12s. The sound with the mix of V30 G12K-100 is exactly what I hoped. I lose very little low end and punch compared to the 1960AV. I think it sounds like a 3x12, honestly. So, at half the weight and size, it successfully replaced a 4x12 for me.
