My violin teacher advised me to use this. It is very quick and easy to do. I am surprised what a difference it makes. Even my new fairly new violin sounds much better - clearer and louder. My teacher says I should only use it once a year or so, and not overdo the cleaning, just a gentle wipe round the body, too much rubbing can remove the violin's varnish.
