Eminence Legend 1028K

I was looking for an alternative for my Princeton Reverb combo. As I've read, Eminence Legend is their version of old USA made Jensens. Small size speakers are usually thought of as weak and thin sounding. I happen to own one original '65 8 inch Jensen C8R (US made), which is incredible, really sounds big and you can forget it's size. And I also have one new C10R, which is so thin and especially horrible with distortion/drive (but really open sounding as long as you don't exceed mild overdrive). In search for a good replacement for Princeton's 10", I used ToneTubby 40/40 hemp cone ceramic speaker. Excellent tone and suited Princeton nicely. But I was looking for something a little quieter and lighter (TT ceramic weighs 4.8 kg !!, Legend 1028K is just 1.250 kg ), to keep the...

Celestion Alnico Gold 10" 16 Ohm

I don't come and rate too much stuff I buy here, but this deserves a review. This is a top quality speaker and will go really well in your guitar cab, period. I play rock solo through to folk accompaniment on a 2018 Les Paul Standard and custom Telecaster with a wide range splittable humbucker, so a mix of vintage rock solo through to single coil out of phase and then some more jazzy humbucker stuff. My amp is a Mesa/Boogie MiniRectifier (10W/25W). Of course your mileage will vary, depending on your guitars, amp, cab, what speakers you had in there before and your playing style. But these are top class guitar speakers. The long version: I have a self-made cab 50x58x30cm (H/W/D) that I built ten years ago to go under a 1980 Musicman 210 RD combo. I originally used the Musicman 10"...

I bought this speaker as a replacement for the Jensen C10R that was in my Fender Princeton Reverb. I didn't go for the 12'' version because I like the punch and sweetness of the 10'' (it also keeps the weight within 'portable', so that's a plus as well). I was let down a bit at first because I was used to the crisp, crystalline sound of the Jensens... but soon I started to notice the smoothness and dynamic range. Wow! I use the amp with a wide range of guitars and pickups. It really brings out the character of the guitars and it complements them very nicely (the Jensens made humbucker equipped guitars sound a bit flat and the singlecoil guitars sounded wiry and thin). A slight mid-bump and overall smoothness of the high end make it perfect for overdrive; yet at the same time, the...

Eminence The Copperhead

Eminence The Copperhead

I purchased this for my early 70s Princeton Reverb that still had the stock CTS speaker fitted. I wanted to retain the "American sound" of the amp but wanted a bit more level (sensitivity) than the stock CTS. The Copperhead does exactly that, louder, a bit more clean headroom, much better handling of low frequencies, a lot less heavy and yet retaining the high frequencies that Fenders are know for. I've owned a number of 70s Fender amps and have gone through many different speakers (multiple Webers, multiple WGS, multiple Eminence) but this is the first speaker that has ticked all the boxes so to speak. Would recommend without hesitation for any Princeton Reverb (original or reissue) users who aren't happy with their tone.

Eminence Kappa Pro-10A

I bought this speaker in conjunction with a 12" Eminence Delta to refit a custom bass enclosure which had blown speakers. The thing that epitomizes Eminence is their build quality and attention to detail. They are in my opinion, the very best speakers on the market! Once installed and wired up, I was amazed at how clear and indeed powerful the combination was. The 10" gave a huge boost to the mids and it's response time was fantastic. I know now that the previous speakers, even before the enclosure blew, were vastly inferior to these beauties! The Kappa Pro-10A takes a lot of beating and I cannot recommend this unit enough! I dream of refitting either a 4 x 10 or indeed a 8 x 10 cabinet with these! Perhaps my next project!

Eminence Deltalite II 2510

I am not the biggest Eminence fan, but I admit this speaker has really impressed me. It is loud, clean, light and has a very "punchy" bottom range. It has a peak in the upper mids, but I flattened that out by running an inductor in series. Now it sounds almost HiFi-like and works fine as a PA. In fact, this speaker has much cleaner and better reproduction than my Yamaha Club Series 12" PA speakers! I upgraded my EBS ProLine 210 with the Deltalite II 2510s, and my 210 then became as loud as the normal 410. The 210 easily took all the output from my MarkBass LMII without sounding bad or bottoming out. And I have used them for over five years now, and they still sound and look like new. Top product!

I am not very experienced with bass speakers to be honest. I run a recording studio and I have an Eden Nemesis 2X10 combo which needed its woofers changed. I friend who plays bass guided me to buy a couple of these speakers saying they were really good for their price. Personally I am very satisfied. They work well with my amp and they sound open and expressive without getting "tired". They look well built and I believe they will work well for years if handled right. The price was very reasonable too, considering their quality.

Celestion G10 Greenback 16 Ohm

Eminence Legend BP102-8

These speakers are great! I bought 2 of them to put in one of my 2x10 cabs and i couldn't be any happier! The sound out of the is really clear and crisp while the power out of them is unbelievable! They definitely do pack some serious punch! They are better than the speakers that were previously in my cab and 2 of them together are even a lot more powerful than some high end 4x10's that I have played through. No matter how high end your cab is or how loud you may play, these speakers definitely will not let you down. I know a few bass players that have blown speakers and I recommended these Eminence Legend BP102's and I have been getting many thanks since. Everyone I have told about them is just as happy as I am :-)

I got this to replace a suspect 4-ohm co-axial speaker/horn in an acoustic combo. The original speaker was 10" too, but was a bit "grindy/mushy" above 1/2 volume, I suspected the horn for this problem after wiring into a PA speaker instead. I fitted the new speaker & got another 1/4 turn on the volume before the "grindy/mushy" problem reappears. There is some AC smoothing problems on the amplifier circuit board, but I can use almost full volume now & the extra db (sound) this speaker punches out is great. The lack of a horn helps smooth the sound too. This speaker comes on song, sounding good at 100 hz and holds a good sound till around 3 - 4 Khz, 5 - 10khz is only for dogs and cats to hear. The new speaker is a little bigger in physical size & weight...
