Decend for practice use

I've bought this together with a Vox Amplug, and I'm not disappointed so far. Of course you should not compare it to bigger amps or so, but for what it does it's a nice speaker, providing decent tones for practicing. Out off all the mini-amps available, I think I like this one the best. It give nice tones, even when playing clean. And it gives you a nice bit of flexibility should you own more than one amplug. Can't really go wrong with this price.

Great practice amp to accompany your amplug

Bought this amplug cabinet to accompany the ac30 amplug and I am happy with this purchase.

Cabinet speaker is quite loud for it's size if you use it in a confined space (bedroom, office) and built quality is satisfactory for the price. Perfect for quick practice sessions in your home office.

Recommended for anyone that uses the vox amplugs.

Brilliant for what it is

If you need something to make your electric guitar or bass _audible_, without soaking up lots of room or all your checked-luggage allowance, get this in combination with an Amplug.

Gotchas:

Make sure you feed it a battery with _at least_ 9v. With the stock battery, my bass produced nasty distortion. When I switched that to a 9.6v rechargeable, it cleaned right up and sounded, well, as good as you can hope for from a 1-inch cone.

Remember to switch it off when you're done. Easy to forget, and the other reason I'm glad I use rechargeables.

Most useful for: fretless bass with flatwound strings, trying to keep up with acoustic instruments and voice.

The built-in connector cable is a little fiddly and will probably be the first thing to break. That was the only reason I saw to knock off a star.

Features? Well, it takes the output of an Amplug and makes it louder. That's what you're paying for, and that's what you get. You also get the sight of a teeny-tiny stack, if you squint a bit and possibly have a couple of drinks first.

Does its job. Portable and good sounding.

The previous model was made of wood. This one is made of plastic. Liked the sound and feel of the previous model better. My previous model had a battery consuption issue. No longer have this problem with the amplug 2 cabinet.

Best for practice at night

Vox Amplug 2 Cabinet is a 3 "speaker cabinet with Aux In! I use Vox Amplug 2 AC30 because of its great sound. But I don?t feel comfortable with headphone jacks all the time in my ears. So, the solution is definitely the Vox Amplug 2 Cabinet. I think this cabinet is suitable for practicing at night because of its lack of low frequencies. Low frequencies can be very annoying for neighbors, husband and kid.

Great sounding cabinet.

I use this cabinet for my Vox AmPlugs (I have the Metal and the Bass version). I wanted this cabinet because I like to play with a portable mini amp.

When I first tested this cabinet combined with AmPlug2 Metal, I couldn't believe that a 3" speaker produces such a great sound. It sounds really great and powerful. I also love the portability of this cabinet. I can use it everywhere. One more thing I like is the variety of the AmPlugs. A really great idea! Thank you Vox!
