Best of the Best Practice Tool

Honestly, I wasn't expect this little thing to perform this good. Especially with good headphones. (I also own "Amplug 2 Cabinet" and unfortunately it is not good.)

First of all there is no clean tone :) the best clean tone that you can get is crunchy.

FX's are really gentle and works very well with both shredding and heavy riffs.

All 3 knobs are really sensitive. you can hear the difference between lvl 4 - 5.

Overall, I highly recommend this for anyone that enjoys good metal sound.

Best mini preamp!

If you look for a PERFECT preamp for studying or even recording metal, this small guy is actually sounding like a very good US voice amp, but boosted with a beefy overdrive pedal and it has got 3 channels, plus 3 spatial effects...It just make me to believe that is not true...Ofcourse that there is no noise gate, but it doesn't hum at all....Only Mooer live preamp and Kemper are also having this solid state technology and DV Mark, Bias...Fulltubes for me personally are not making the money, they sound good only with huge volume and by compromising your tone with the unwanted tube noise between the notes...If you shred for real, go for solid state, all of the big guys are doing the same...

Just plug and play

It's a cool toy with decent sound. I found embedded effects a bit useless because of lack of adjustment, for me it's too much. The rest is pretty good.

Sound is ok for solo practices. Main feature is handling and it works as it should.

Impressive

I was really surprised with the sound that this small amp can give to your guitar.

I bought it because I moved away to another country and I couldn't take a full size amp with me. I couldn't be more satisfied with this product. Apart from the great tone that it has, it also includes a few effects that you can play around with, making it really versatile for both rhythm and lead guitar tones.

It's a great choice if you want to travel with your guitar and you have limited space for your gear.

The only issue I find it's that it has no clean sound and that it has nothing to firmly attach it to the body of the guitar so that it doesn't move around.

Awesome Metal Sound!!!

When I ordered Vox Amplug 2 Metal, I just wanted to be able to practice guitar wherever and whenever I wanted to. I was thinking that the sound would not be so great. I was wrong. Vox Amplug Metal 2 has an awesome sound!!! I use this with t.bone HD800 headphones and the very first time I could not believe my ears! Wow! Very high gain, pure Heavy Metal sound! Quality is so great. Effects are great too. I can't wait to buy the Lead and Bass versions and the cabinet.

It's finally here!!

Guys, this small thing is more than enough for playing Metal at home, it really surpassed all my expectations, I did expect something nice, but this thing is so damn great! you can play guitar everywhere, all the time, and it sounds so amazing,

everyday before i go to sleep, i plug it in, i plug my mp3 player in it too and put my playlist on and play all night, and it feels like you are playing inside the song!

I think every guitarist needs this thing
