Go Ahead And Laugh

With the VOX MV-50 Brian May, and 2 of these little VOX cabinets, I have 50 watts of ear-shattering power. In 1974 I had an 80 watt Orange and a pair of 4x12" cabinets. I needed a van to move that rig around. In 2024, I can put the amp itself in my shoulder bag and carry these 2 little VOX cabinets around by hand. Incredible sound for the size/price. Zero issues, and they have "The VOX Sound" for sure. They are too inexpensive to not get one!

Now only VOX

So that your neighbors stop knocking on your wall, this "Vox BC 108 Cabinet" is what you need. It suits me perfectly, together with the "HoTone Nano Legacy Mojo Diamond" it is flawless.

Not for distortion!

I returned this because it sounds bad with rock or metal distortion. It's boxy-sounding, with lots of lower mids, and buzzing highs. And no, it's not just because it's an 8" speaker — I have an 8" Peavey combo for quiet playing, and it sounds much better.

It's just the speaker's voicing is not for my use. I imagine this sound may be great for clean or light breakup amps, like the small Vox MV amps, but I wouldn't know.

Build quality is great, it's light and easy to transport, and it's pretty amazing that it has parallel jacks on the back. Clearly, thought was put into this unit, it's just not for me (and not for you if you think you can play high-gain stuff through it).

Overraskende bra til å være så lite

Dette kabinettet låter overraskende bra til å være så lite. Perfekt for øving og om en ønsker mer "champ"-aktig lyd. Brukt det sammen med Quilter US.

Nice Sounding Small Cabinet

I bough this cabinet for Bugera T5 infinium. My idea was to replace stock speaker with Jensen ,but after several trials ,I think so,the original Vox speaker sounds better for me.The Jensen will be for another project.

Vox cabinet is with perfect design and quality .The sound is balanced, for this price you have nice looking and sounding cabinet.

Does the job

Works well with Katana Head & Bugera basic valve amp. Jacks can pop out of rear with mild pressure, which is a mild flaw.

It works well !!!

Great sound from a small (8 inch) speaker.

I play it through a VOX MV50 AC, which is the amp it was meant to be used with, but i also use it through a Fender Greta, which is only a 5 watt amp.

Excellent for practice , but also good enough for small venue gigs

Not really a point to it existing to be honest.

Quality: 4 stars because, well I mean it's built like a speaker cab, kinda heavy, so it's fine. It isn't made out of busty women and diamonds so 5 stars seems too generous.

Features: an input jack, 5 stars, that's all I want to it to have, a kettle would be a feature but it might be a bit pointless.

Sound: 2 stars, the clean sound (Joyo Meteor) sounds okay!.. Until you go past 9 o'clock on the volume knob, then it just sounds garbage.

The overdrive... Like, I can't, just no. It's bad. The speaker just gives up, I get it's 4 inches smaller than the standard but jesus christ i expected a bit more. It's just trash. It can't even handle a goddamn lunchbox amp. The speaker just sounds like a farty, dying mess if you do anything beside quiet clean playing. Next to no low end, no high end, just an abundance of distorted mid range that sounds awful. I figured, okay, let's use bluetooth, maybe the joyo sounds bad. No. It wasn't the meteor's fault at all, the Vox is actually worse than cheap bluetooth speakers. I might just set this on fire to be honest.

Good pratice cabinet

As a vox fan must say, the bluid quality is awesome and the sound is good.

Pro: Lightweight, good sound, great build quality, you can add a 2nd one.

Cons: It is an "open cabinet", but they could've made it easier to open the back for a better air flow.

Just what I needed!

Got this to run a Joyo Bantamp that I bought cheap secondhand.

It did the job brilliantly. Plug the jack in from the amp, no power needed.

It has 2 inputs on the back so I can run a 2nd amp in, if I like.

Plenty of headroom - no fuss!

Perfect to use at home

I use it at home with a Hughes and Kettner tube amp.

Easy to use: just one plug.

The sound is clear. No background noises.

I use it only at home so can't comment on stage or studio use but it does what we ask it to do.

great cabinet for home use

I was looking for something to buy with my vox mv50 ac, and this fits gret. The sound is super clear and it is more than someone needs when you want to jam at home without anooying the whole building and the neighbours.

i highly recommend it.

Powerfull Tiny box

I have laughed when the tiny box arrived.

I was crying laughing when i open it to see the cab. Wondering if i had to put it on the valve head.

And I just had my eyes just wide open when i tried it out.

It's sound REALLY good. Of course, its sound differs from a 12 inches cab. But I like it.

It allows me to have several sounds easly (8 vs 12 inches), it's also lightweight and neighbour friendly (well, more than my other cabs because it can be loud to).

And finally, it's budget friendly

MY CONCLUSION:

- It's actually a very good surprise: It's sound actually good.

- It's a very good value for money

- It's a must have for portable and training purposes.
