Vox V845 Wah-Wah Reviews
What was that
The first thing a did was to chop off the little rubber feet under the foot control.
That prevents me from turning it on and off.. i have to fight with it.
Since removing, work like a charm.
Thumbs down to VOX for this, i have to ruin a instrument right out of the box to make it playable.
Its OK
It is powerful as a wah.but I believe it's not as responsive and balanced as it should be. There is a sudden change in tonality close to the area - little before and when full pressed..
All in all is a decent wah pedal. I try to adjust my playing to this imperfection
Huge range
I had range issues with Dunlop wahs, they we're small, Vox wah has huge range so much that it took me time to figure out proper time on opening and closing it during fast tracks.
I really like it!
Personally, this is my first wah pedal, and honestly I don't use wah a lot. But when i do, I really like the sound of the one I have.
Pros:
1) Sounds good and clean.
2) Handled with care.
Cons:
1) If you use a high-gain distorion, like I do, you might experience a breaking point with it. It just happens to be that when you lean in on the wah with distortion really slowly, there's one part, where it just skips a lot ot the wah range.
2) If it matters, It's big.
Even with the one bigger downfall of it, I don't really feel as if i feel out of love with it. As I said, I use it rarely, but when I do - It delivers.
Works great on a bass as well.
Good for the money
This is very well built Wah pedal that sounds very good. Go, get yours!
First pedal of two and I'm impressed
I play bass and have been looking for a wah pedal for a while after obsessing over players like Cliff Burton and effect heavy bands like Electric Wizard. While yes it sucks tone a lot, I was expecting so coming from a guitar wah, but put next to my mudhoney 2 on max settings the new tone this wah makes is incredible for psychedelic bass soloing, even just riffing on stoner metal songs is super fun with this wah. Exactly what I was looking for, something psychedelic and thrash at the same time
wah-wah sound for beginner
Classic vox wah sound. I like it. Never failed through three years I've been using it.
Decent!
If you are looking for a cheap wah pedal this is for you. Can2t say it is amazing, but it does give you a really good sound for the price. Overall for the first wah it's the best choice.
Value for money
its is a very good pedal
A wonderful working man's wah pedal!!
I really like playing with this wah wah pedal...I can get really comfortable with it. Sounds great for solo work too!!!
I used this wah pedal for my Wah Wah video in my youtube channel.
Good quality at a fair price
I was interested in acquiring a wah pedal but I wasn't willing to pay the 100 euros (or so) for Dunlop's Cry Baby. Maybe it has a better sound and overall quality than this VOX Wah pedal, however, i am really pleased with my purchase and don't believe that Dunlop's Cry Baby has twice the quality of this pedal considering it is almost double the price. I own a Vox amp, so using a Vox Wah pedal complements the rig nicely.
The response to your foot movement is accurate and the sound is amazing. At this competitive price, you are getting an amazing quality.
very cheap pedal for great quality
For metal leads is awesome not so bright a little muddy but does the job well.Very good quality from vox and i think its the best value for money wah.
Vox V845 Wah-Wah Pedal
I use a pedal of Vox V845 mainly on solo in blues. Classical Jimmy sounds greatly! The pedal is heavy, rubberized finishing, it is very steady on a pedalborda. The pedal is sensitive, I recommend to choose the correct position of the guitarist at a game standing.
It wasn't pleasant it is necessary to make many efforts to include a pedal.
I recommend to use together with an equalizer for interesting effects.
In conclusion, it is an excellent pedal for the cost, it is optimum for rehearsals and jam performances, choose ? you won't regret.
great for the price
what can I say about this wah. sounds great for the price, strong and robust. sounds like what you think a what should sound like. I got this for the reason most people would they like the sound and the other is that Jimi Hendrix played a wah and sounds as close to that type of wah for the price
Amazing!!
Just got this for my bass, and I am amazed by it's sound. I can't wait to hear what it's gonna be like on stage. Only down side is there's no LED "on" light. Absolutely outstanding for its price.
As expected
Budget wah for budget tones, but with a little bit of tweaking of electronics, you can get a decent tone for very good price
Pretty Good
My first wah pedal ever. Not as great as i expected, but it does the job. It has a good sounding wah effect and it works well together with distortion.
However, it changes the tone drastically even when not activated, and I totally don't like that. It also has a very "sensitive" area around input and output ports and it makes a loud noise when you tap on them.
All in all, I would recommend this pedal, it is cheaper than most, but I have not tried others. This is a good buy to get started on learning how to use the wah and expanding your pedal collection! :)
it's a vox
does what it's supposed to do & does it very good. and you couldn't ask for a better price.
