Vox VFS2A Footswitch Reviews
Usefull and simple to use.
I bought it for my Boss Katana mk 2 and in the start it had problems, In order for me to use it with the boss katana I had to open the footswitch and disable the lights. After that, it worked perfectly
Vox VFS2A Footswitch
Built like a tank, reliable and has LED's to see when they're on or not.
Considering this is meant only for Reverb and Tremolo, it would have helped if instead of 1 & 2 they would have put the names of the effects. Also although its built like a tank, i'm sure it could have been a little smaller and more pedal board friendly.
Not for Katana 50, but great quality
I bought the footswitch, hoping that I can use it on my Katana 50 MK2 amp. But it does not work properly. It changes effects, but has trouble switching banks.
The footswitch is very well built, light and has a cool design. To me, it looks like a quality product.
Works with Blackstar HT50
Strong build, fits the pedalboard. It is pretty big, though. Would've loved it to be a little smaller.
Only problem I had was (my own fault really) that you obviously need a stereo cable to use both footswitches. Regular guitar cables - ofcourse - are not stereo. My channel switch works, but my reverb switch does not.
I did check with a stereo cable I had lying around and that worked fine and I was able to control both the channel and the reverb.
Keep in mind that stereo cables are more expensive than regular cables and don't come in all the various sizes.
Cable Could be a little longer as it doesnt reach the front of the stage when my amp is placed near the back
Does what it should, built like a tank.
Like I said, it’s pretty straightforward: Does what it should, built like a tank.
Does what it's supposed to.
It does what it is designed to do for my Vox head. Enough said, I guess.
This simply needs to buy!
An essential and economical footswitch from Vox. The Vox VFS2A guitar footswitch is made especially for Vox amps. With a high-quality, durable, all-metal construction, this footswitch will stand up to the rigors of the road, and will stay with you for years to come. A 1/4" jack on the VFS2A connects the footswitch to Vox Pathfinder and Cambridge amps. The Vox footswitch also works with the AC custom line of amps and all VR series amps. Includes LEDs to show when either the tremolo or reverb effects are engaged.
Very useful addition to my AC30C2
The footswitch was the only way of turning reverb/tremolo on and off on my Vox AC30 C2 amp. I would say it is a limitation from Vox not to include the footswitch, however the price is quite good for the quality you receive and the footswitch does exactly the job it is designed for.
The footswitch looks and feels stable and heavy, it has a rubber padding on the bottom to keep it from slipping. Not quite sure how I can mount it on my pedalboard, so for the time being I keep it outside of the main rig. The cable is long enough, but it really depends how far from the amp you stay when on stage. I wouldn't mind another 2-3 meters of cable length, though.
Generally, I am very satisfied with the product and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to get a footswitch controlling reverb and tremolo on a Vox amp.
Free your hands for actual playing!
I bought it for Vox NT15C1 combo and that's what I needed! Indicators shows what channel I am and all works fine. If you are gigging musician - must have it! It sofa amateur - must have it to get most from your amp.
Vox VFS2A Footswitch
Useful with a separate lead so I can have a longer lead to front of stage
Does what it's meant to do without issues
Wanted to put one on my pedalboard in order to be able to control my Vox's Reverb/Tremolo effects. It's a medal solid pedal with nice footswitches and led indication so it does what it's meant to do and that's about it.
For my taste the size is bigger than I would like, so I removed the innards of the pedal and putted them in a custom 1590B enclosure with VOX Amp photo outside and it rocks :)
Fantastic unit!
Great built quality and ease of use. Highly recommended.
Vox VFS2A Footswitch
Does the job well,good quality.
Great pedal!
Bought this for my AC30 VR. It works as intended.
It came with a proper cable, no problems with it so far. The pedal is built really well! I'm really enjoying using this. Also has some material on the bottom of it probably to stop it from slipping all over the place, which is great!
I recommend this pedal to anybody!
keep it simple
cool simple robust switch from vox, could never go wrong with it!
Perfect Footswitch
I use the VFS2A with my Vox AC30C2. If you're using reverb or tremolo, then you can set each function to your desired "effect" and then switch them on/off via the footswitch without having to touch the amp. The footswitch also has indicator lights to show which is on.
Solid Footswitch
This is a good 2 button footswitch which I am currently using with a vox ac30. It feels solid and well built as you would expect, with a padded back to stop slipping if you choose not to mount on a pedalboard. The inclusion of LED's is nice as this quickly lets you know whether each switch is on or off. The included stereo jack cable is of cheap build, although this isn't a problem as no audio passes through it. I will likely replace this cable soon anyway as it is on the short side for stage use.
very useful, good built
Excellent built quality. Solid enough to stomp on hard. Works as expected with Vox Ac15. Certainly handy and makes using tremolo and reverb a pleasure particularly because vox amps have controls at the back which can be a bit troublesome to reach easily.
Basic but good
I've used this pedal with my Vox combo and it gets the job done. It's well made and can take the abuse on the road. This is the newer version of Vox dual footswitch that has indicator leds to show which switch is selected. This is a good refinement compared to earlier models of this pedal that didn' t have this feature. Also the separate cable is well thougt out feature 'cos now you can easily replace it with similar stereo plug cable if something happens to the original one. The switches work reliably and make no noise even when used with amp turned up loud. My only complaint is that the cable is a bit too short. Maybe 4 meters would be better? Otherwise I think this a very good product from Vox company once again.
