Best All in One Modeling Amp

I’ve played for years and have had boutique fender amps and dirt-cheap modeling amps and this one straddles the line just right! The top of it is almost like a spaceship with so many lights and buttons. You can get overwhelmed at first with the choices. But once you start to noodle and fiddle, you can get your exact sound dialed in. And the sound—wow! It’s so warm for a modeling amp! This is something that I would feel passably well about gigging with! Definitely recommend!

Great start for beginners!

I am completely satisfied with this combo, although there is nothing to compare it to.

In my opinion, it has everything a beginning guitarist needs: good quality sound and quite a lot of built-in effects that can be mixed as you like. You just need to download Valvetronix Tone Room software to your computer and sound customization becomes even more flexible and interesting.

There are many built-in presets, or you can create your own.

It makes no sense to describe the details of this combo in detail, since it was released a long time ago and there are already many videos about it on the Internet.

from I needed a good amp for home and rehearsals, I thought to take a regular transistor one, but I saw vox vt20x and decided to order it, when it arrived, I connected a guitar to it, but the sound was somehow strange, then I downloaded the application on the PC and tuned it through it, I did not expect such a good sound, Haven't found any cons yet

The Best Amp I even had in my life (no joke)

Well, sound and features are soo good

There's only one minus.. (but it's not tragedy) when you change presets, sound goes up automatically xD but you can use to it, like I did

Sound is out of this world, you can use this amp literally as pedalboard

Great amp for beginners and experienced guitarists

I chose this amp based on online reviews. Very clear settings, many presets make the amplifier convenient for a beginner or for an amateur who will play at home and in small spaces. A month later I bought an additional pedal. The preamp tube makes the sound warm and high quality. This is certainly not the quality that professional musicians need, but for amateurs it is what you need. It is convenient to use the Tone room app through the phone Of the shortcomings: The firmware is not updated and not all effects are present. It is a pity that there is no built-in looper. I am very glad that I found this amplifier and I am not going to change it yet!

Best for this price

Good effects, nice clean and metall sound for 170€. Vox tone room for PC makes it much more better. All best sounds and pedals are available only with it.

Modelling Amp Cindarella

This is probably one of the most underrated modelling amp.

Sound is very good, it sounds bigger than its 8 inch speaker, all the effects are OK and you do not really need much more for home playing.

Design-wise - it keeps the Vox pedigree, looks quite classy and can even qualify to a legit living room accessory in your partner's eyes (unlike say Boss Katana) :-)...

Only slight critique would be the Toneroom app, which works fine, but by today's standards looks little dated, especially compared to say Positive Grid Spark app, which is probably not super fair comparison, since PG are software makers in the first place.

Great Amp.

This is a fantastic modelling amp. It has many different settings and the sound is unreliable for the price. I love the fact that I can plug my headphones and have I remarkable neet sound. Which is great when you do not want to bother your family or neighbours. But if you do the 20V is more than I need for an apartment. The only con that I found and it does not have anything to do with the amp. itself but the delivery. Unfortunately looks like it was hit, but it has not interfered with its sound so it's okay.

No send\return

Considering the price, it is a very very good amp for beginners and just for homes. Took to a rehearsal once, it could be perfectly heard behind a loud drummer. I was very impressed. However send\return would make this amp even better.

Such an amazing modelling amp!

At a first glance I was afraid that it won`t sound good as I wanted, but that little 20watt amp has litteraly everything you need for practicing or even giging in a smaller hall. Clean sounds from the amp are amazing but on the other hand distorted and crunchy sounds are a bit heavier to recognize. You can move your way around the amp effects and in a few days it will be your soul mate. It arrived very fast, in 4 days. At first I was having trouble with the knobs on the volume and gain because when I change it to another built-in preset the GAIN is very very high so be carefull. If you like you can connect headphones as well for silent practicing. Overall quality is great. I am not a professional player but the sound is loveable to me and my neighbours haha so I guess it will work for you too.

Nice for home

Very good combo for home, many presets. The volume is quite enough, I turn it up to half. Delivery to Russia is fast and without any problems.

This amp looks and sounds amazing, I am very impressed so far.

I am gonna have a lot of fun learning how to use it(The amp has a lot of effects and functions that I do not how to use yet).

In conclusion very versatile and sounds amazing.

Probably the best amp in the price range

Great amp, bought it as an all in one solution since I am playing various styles.

Pros:

* Tube preamp, great clarity & tone; Class A/AB & Bias

* Several models of amps implemented at circuit level (vintage/boutique)

* Several effects, really well executed

* Very customizable using the app/editor software

Cons:

* Would be nice to come with the switch pedal out of the box

Little bit more louder than I expected.

This is my home use amp, I am not a gigging man. It works with an Epi Les Paul Standard Pro and a HB "tele".

I am happy with it. It is extremely simple to use but loaded with a lot of options. I guess you can find it fits perfect in any genere you want to play. I really like how "orange" sounds, but I am not in love with "plexi". Before this amp I used to play through ZOOM G3xN, and there was "the other way" :)

I do have VFS5 to use with, but honestly I prefer to connect with PC. Maybe when I will finally find my tones, I will use ftsw more often. There is more "pedals" hidden in ToneRoom than just using amp buttons.

You can store your own 8 patches, easy to access using ftsw or top panel.

Vox and Roll

Not bad little amp for the money. Didn't like the lack of output on the amp and. the amp models sound great though. Its not that loud could not be used for gigging. The plug is a bit flimsy as well. It's not a bad amp. It just wasn't for me so I've sold it on.
