Great piece of hardware.

This clone definitely sounds good.

It's just great

I was looking for a device for recording guitars and vocals. Always wanted to try British style. It looks a little cheap in the photo, but in reality it looks and feels much more solid. It seems to me that this option is much more profitable than the 500 series. If there is an option to take with an equalizer, then take it. A very cool thing.

73 Magic

I should have bought the twin channel version it’s that good. At first I thought the dials looked brittle or over plasticyfied (I know that’s not a word) but tbh they’re neat, tough and got that good clunk old BBC Maida Vale vibe like Neves only newer than real vintage.

Sonic range is big, warmth is right up there. The Tone button is a quick jump to additional punch tone, a bit like when you threw a loudness button on ya Aiwa stack. I’m finding it hard to avoid especially on a great vocal mic. It’s part of the Warm revolution for sure.

You will like it

As I was no longer satisfied with interface built-in preamp, I looked for some budget preamp and this WA-73 hits me right up.

As I am not familiar with the sound of real 1073, I can't tell how well it recreated the original. But it performs well as a mic preamp IMO, as it brings characters that many people wanted. It can be your go-to options for tracking vocal, as when you dialed a good EQ setting you can just plug and record. I use WA-47jr and Aston mics (stealth and spirit) on it, and looking forward to get some high end mic to challenge it.

good sounding preamp

Wa is a pretty good sounding preamp but it would be great if the low and high eq pot would have q instead of just having a shelf and the middle frequencies are wider

Great Neve Clone

Great sounding Neve Clone from Warm Audio, quality work and solid unit overall.

I haven't found any issues at all with the unit. Its been my go to preamp at my studio for a year now.
