Sound...

I bought this string for my interest - I had never encountered Warwick strings in my bass playing practice before. Strings very flexible. To my great surprise, despite the low price, the sound on the Ibanez SR700 was very good. Clear top tones, low enough. The bass guitar is active with options for adjusting the treble, midrange and bass, so it allows you to create the sound you need for any style. Understandably, this is my assessment. As they say - they do not argue about taste, but wonder. Everyone has to evaluate for themselves. I will definitely buy strings from a higher price category to be able to evaluate Warwick offers.

Why pay more?

These strings are as good as you'd ever need. I buy a few packs a year and get to have that fresh stainless steel bright sound all year round.

Zing on a budget

I've used these for years and have always been impressed with the quality for the price.

Pros: stainless steel zing that seems to last a good while before fading.

Cons: Perhaps the zing fades quicker than other brands? But at roughly 1/3 of the price of some other brands it feels like good value.

In summary: solid strings. Won't let you down. Sounds shiny.

Best price/performance

This set sounds and feels very good. It's close to bright side. Feels also good for the wallet, let's see its lifetime, i guess it lasts not very long but for the price can renew it with no problem after for a while.

Great economic choice

Bright strings to refresh your sound. The price is a surprise!

tangy!

great strings with the stainless sounding tang.

sometimes with a dead sounding string mostly the E', undoing it and twisting the string as if to wind the coils up in the string tighter can resolve this.

great value for money.

good value for money

I was looking for reliable strings at a low price and Warwick 42210 ML Red Label was a perfect choice. The sound is good and the reliability is just perfect. I am entirely satisisfied with my choice.

Great strings not just because of value

I actually prefer these strings over the big, expensive brands, without even looking at the price. Nuff said.

Pros:

- Great tone, stays zingy until around 6 months.

- Cheap

Cons:

- none

W. bass string

this Warwick bass string was cheep, but i should put more money to get better one, they are very sharp & after while i feel the fingers cut like with knife, very bad quality, not recommended.

Very good quality/price ratio

I've been using these strings for years now, on 4-5-6 and Extended Range basses alike.

I've always been happy with them, they don't last long but they're cheap and sound good, very bright but a bit too aggressive on frets and fingers if you're an aggressive player.

Apart from their short life, another problem the chinese made string has is poor intonation: often I had to throw the bridge saddles back and forth to find a good intonation at the 12th fret and a few times I got bad sets with an unusable low E with an "inner buzz" when played open. Certainly bad news on a 30euros set but no big deal when you pay ?9.90. I'll keep using them for sure.

I play gigs most weeks, and have a need to have decent reliable strings that I can afford. Since I discovered Warwick Red, I havent looked back - the balance of quality versus affordability is the best I have come across. I dont see the point of spending lots more money to get little extra performance. The sound is bright, is even across all 4 strings, and deals with changes in temperature without undue tuning difficulties. Highly recommended,

For the price it is hard to fault these strings. They have the bright, aggressive sound I expected from a set of stainless steel roundwounds and they have lasted well.

Warwick red labels

It could be that i've just had bad luck as i only tried 1 package of these strings. But when it arrived the E string sounded dead straight out of the package, it sounded like it already had been used for 2 years.

The other strings sounded better but the sound wasnt for me. The sound was quite thin, not really much bass in them but loads of high crispy treble.

They are cheap strings and i think you get what you pay for.

The sound wasnt for me but some people might like it.

If you dont get a dead string in the package i think for the price the strings would be ok, not great but just ok.

Interesting bass strings

I don't have my bass for more than half an year. When I bought it, it came with these strings. They're okay. I bought another set so I have a spare one before I decide which strings will be interesting for my type of playing. I don't really have a good notion of my type of bass. In this aspect, these are good strings. Just as expected regarding its price. Maybe I would expect a little more from the brand but as I said, as expected regarding its price. A simple tone and I haven't broke any string yet so I guess they're durable.

Very good strings.

These are the best strings for the money. I only use stainless steel.

I have seen better made strings. But for this price... The sound is good too.

Thumbs up for Red Label Stainless Steel.

A budget string choice.

I bought these to try on a Jazz bass, and wished I'd not bothered. The quality is ok, but not great. The windings are almost rough to touch, which generates a lot of string noise.

Tonally, they're also a bit hard sounding - frankly, I'd spend my money elsewhere. They're budget strings, no more than that.

Great value

I just love these Warwick bass strings! They always arrive factory fresh and shrink wrapped so that when you open them they are perfect! The sounds are really good making them excellent value for money. Well recommended!
