I fell in love with this bass as soon as I got it out of the box! The finish on the body is great (nice colour) and the glossy neck feels more expensive than it actually is. It feels like a U.S. bass, looks like a U.S. bass, but sounds like a Mexican bass. Even so, the sound for a Squier is very good. Only two small issues. 1. The stick strings are terrible. They felt very abrasive, so they were changed quickly. 2. The inlay on the third fret is raised very slightly. This is noticeable only when changing strings and, so far, hasn’t affected play. This is a great addition to my Fender Jazz, Hofner Violin Bass and Squier VI. I would certainly buy again!

First of all, you can’t go wrong with the Precision-bass design. It will always stand as a great example of how perfection shall look like. This bass is sounds very good. The pickups sounds great, and gives you the punch of a classic electric bassound that we’re all looking for. The beautiful combination of the sunburst and pickguard, is for me, breathtaking. Looks very vintage. Some people have complained about dry fingerboard, and I can honestly say, that I don’t know what they are talking about. Of course it may be induvidual, but my bass has a nice, flat fretboard, and doesn’t need to be oiled with anything. It does not cost too much, and then you may expect some minor fauls here and there, but then I’ve also heard stories about very expencive Gibsons...

I've been a guitar player for many, many years and decided recently to take bass playing seriously. I went to the local guitar store and tried many bass brands and varieties to find one that fit my goals and one that I could eventually gig with. I was leaning toward a Fender PJ-bass when finally got to play the Sire Marcus Miller P7 (hard to find a demo in my area). This thing blew away the Fender in my opinion (and I own many Fender guitars). Fit, finish, play-ability, sound, active/passive mode, EQ -- the works! Oh, and the price is way below what you would expect for this quality. I had to have one!! I only had to wait a few months (heh) to finally own one, but the wait was well worth it. I'd advise anyone to find one, play it, and see for yourself what I discovered. Sire and Marcus...

To be fair I'm not especially a fan of Nate's although I do like Foo Fighters but I really liked the look of this bass in the new Fender line-up.I've been looking to get a precision and this seemed to be great value. It sounds great with the SD Quarterpounder, Badass bridge and the worn Candy Apple Red and lacquer finish has a cool retro look. Like the narrow neck too. You can get a USA made model for similar money but personally I'm not hung up on where they are made, it's the instrument that counts.I have had Jap and Mex made Fenders as well as USA models and have not seen any great differences.

Overall great purchase. This is my second bass, thought it was time to upgrade after about 4 years of playing. This really is a very good upgrade. I do not at all have any regrets about buying this product. The finish is superb. Lives up to all expectations. It gets the job done very well. Suits a lot of different music styles and techniques. Whether you are playing with a pick or slap it sounds great and feels great either way. Obviously, you can look into customizing the action to suit you. Out of the box, it is really playable. Still, if you don’t feel comfortable with it, it’s very straightforward to lower or raise the action on this bass and on P-basses in general. Tools for this are included in the purchase. Doesn’t score max on features as it is a straight-up P...

This bass came to me with a comfortable Deluxe gig bag. First of all, the quality if this instrument is fantastic! You can do jazz, blues, metall, punk-rock, absolutely everything - sounds is amazing, i fell in love! Yeah.. But, I would like to compare Performer with my Player Series P-bass and of course there are many differences. Performer has better metallic components such as pots, tuners, frets and less string's "buzz" like on a Player Series (E-string). Fret job is better also. Performer has matte finish. It looks so beautiful! Player has it a little bit sharper frets, but that's not a problem. What about the sound... For me, Player sounds warmer, but Performer more clearer, bassy and versatile. In general it hard to say which one of them is better. They are both sounds...

Fender Player Series P-Bass PF BLK

I used to play bass in a band many years ago and now I am just a music enthusiast with the best hobby ever. To cure the lockdown depression, I decided to finally treat myself with one of the two bass guitars I always wished to own (the other one being Rickenbacker 4003S) and I bought Fender Player Series p-bass PF BLK. For (relatively) acceptable price I got a real Fender sound and feel. Must say that I did take it to a luthier to adjust the action and smooth out frets' edges (and to replace the white scratchplate with a way more appealing black one...:), but the neck was already perfect and nothing else required an adjustment. And now I own an instrument I always desired. It sounds and feels great and it looks really good.

I got this bass after waiting for a month and a half for the color i wanted to be in stock. No regrets. A Fender P bass of this quality, features and materials is for sure upper American line four times the price. Fretwork and the rounded fretboard are great. Very comfortable. Weight is avarage, not heavy at all. Just what you expect. Tuners are smooth, finish is beautifull and the roasted maple neck wich is satin and gloss on the headstock feels and looks great. Sound is excelent, altought subjective, I love it. It has a piano like quality with the stock roundwounds and altough i bought Labella Flats to put on right away I think i will wear out the stock strings first because they just sound great. Just get this bass, for the price it is a steal.

Fender Duff McKagan DLX P Bass RW BK

I bought one of the Fender Duff McKagan basses about 9 months ago. It arrived promptly and in good condition. Beautiful looking and set up perfectly. My band's main material is 70's - 00's rock and it is THE perfect bass for that idiom. First time I played it I was sold and the first time we rehearsed the band christened it "The Beast"! The sheer power and tone are awesome and its now my "go-to" bass. Yes, its heavy (buy a thick strap) but I cant find one thing wrong with it. The Hipshot is a nice extra for the occasional drop tuning. So honestly, metal heads, buy one. You won't regret it!
