Good first guitar
The sound is good for this price range. My only personal cons will be the neck is quite large so not great for small hands.
Beginner's Delight: Yamaha C40 BL
The Yamaha C40 BL has been an absolute delight to learn on. While I may be new to this instrument, I can already appreciate the quality and craftsmanship that Yamaha has put into this beginner-friendly model. First off, let's talk about its playability. The nylon strings are gentle on the fingers, which is a relief for a beginner like me who's still building up calluses. Yet, they still produce a warm and inviting tone that makes practicing enjoyable. The action, or the distance between the strings and the fretboard, feels just right, making it easier to press down on the strings and produce clear notes without too much effort. The size and shape of the Yamaha C40 BL also make it comfortable to hold and play. It's not too bulky or heavy, so I can practice for extended periods without feeling fatigued. Plus, the classical guitar design with a wider neck makes it easier to navigate and learn chords. In terms of build quality, I've been impressed by how solid and sturdy the Yamaha C40 BL feels. It doesn't feel like a cheap beginner's guitar; rather, it feels like an instrument that will grow with me as I progress in my musical journey. The matte black finish gives it a sleek and modern look that I really appreciate, too. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my choice to start learning on the Yamaha C40 BL. It's an affordable yet high-quality instrument that's perfect for beginners like me. I can't wait to continue my guitar journey with this reliable companion by my side.
Yamaha c 40
A nice classical giutar with reach volume and splendid beauty but I didn't like that some strings touch the grif while playing and make additional noise not comfortable to the ear.
I like it
What can I say. It is a very well-known guitar.
Good quality
All what you'd expect for a Yamaha at this price. Good guitar
A GOOD STARTER
I bought this as my first classical guitar...I usually play a headless, 7 strings multi-scale...so quite a distance from this. But I fancy some finger work and some jazzy thing so...good practice from the galloping! The guitar is cool, feels like a toy really, but it is, of course, comfy to have on your lap. You must aim at quiet play 'cos it is really quite and requires a delicate approach. I suggest a new set of strings as you get the guitar...because the stock, to say they are crap its a compliment! After a few sessions they started to unwind!! on me - the D string - There is a first for everything I guess - and yes no plectrum so...and why is it that stock strings always suck!?!
So, overall for the price I think its a nice little guitar...I got the bundle with the soft case - but I am sure if you are serious about this kind of stuff, this will not last very long, I would aim higher.
I gave it a fairly good rating because of what is there...all its ok. Apart from the strings.
Good start for beginner

Guitar more suitable for beginners. Sound quality is average.
Super Guitar & Great Value For Money
I have a Martyn guitar I love but I've always wanted a nylon string guitar. I've never had one so I did a little homework. I didn't want to spend a fortune but at the same time I didn't want to throw ¤130 down the drain on an unplayable, terrible sounding guitar. The Yamaha C40 exceeded my expectations. It sounds wonderful and is a great addition if you only have a steel string or electric. I think it looks great in black too!
Excellent guitar for beginners !
Have been playing the electric guitar for almost ten years now and I started to get interested in classical music not so long ago so I decided to pick this guitar up.
This is a very solid guitar even without giving it's low price into consideration , a very warm and clear tone , and the aesthetic is pretty much flawless. Everything arrived in the estimated time .
All in all a great guitar for beginners or experienced players who just wanna go for something new and not so expensive.
good enough for simple sequences
pros - extremely handy, warm sound, easy maintenance.
cons - struggles to cope with sophisticated sounds, classical music or jazz.
Where are the dots on the fingerboard? :)
