Yamaha FC5

It is well made and works great. I use it with my Yamaha Reface CP.

Just perfect for my needs

Purchased this pedal for my camper van, as I have a piano fitted. I loved the rubber backing so the pedal didn't slide around when using it on polished floors

Real good

I bought this one as a second one. My first I actually have been used since 1987 when I got my Roland D-50. I sold that one, but still got, and still working FC 5 sustain pedal...

Save your money and buy this sustain pedal.

Straightforward pedal that works so far has worked fine. Good value for money.

Simple, durable and effective

Simple and sturdy. I have it for few years now and use it mostly with synth/workstation. I got another one, fancier and more expensive purely for digital piano and after 2 years it failed, so I took that cheap Yamaha FC 5 out of my box and it still does the job.

Sturdy slim design

I use it with my Nord Electro 6D keyboard to control both the sustain and the leslie simulation depending on which program I am at.

I'm very satisfied because I got exactly what I needed, a metal pedal with a slim design and great response. Has a nice rubber underneath so it doesn't move as you press it.

Bear in mind that this model doesn't have the polarity switch. I have no problem with this since I can change the polarity on my Nord keyboard.

All in all a nice simple product that does it's job and feels sturdy!

It's a pedal - and it's sturdy

Well built, rugged and long-lasting. I've had to replace a couple of times over the years, but they do go through a beating. The only gripe I'd have is that it can be quite noisy in oepration after a while. Perhaps taking it apart and lubricating the hinge may assist - I may try that when it gets a little noisier!

Great pedal for MIDI keyboards

I decided to get this pedal even though I couldn't find an answer online whether this one would work with my Novation Launchkey MIDI keyboard. To my surprise, it works very well and haven't had any issues so far. Feels very sturdy as well!

Wow, this was a surprise - fantastic!

I've owned several different brands of sustain pedals (M-Audio, Nord, Proel) and they are all big, bulky and quite reliable, so I had my doubts when I ordered the tiny FC-5. Wow, it was quite a surprise - VERY durable, fully metallic housing with a good rubber grip and an overall pleasing and reliable click of the switch. It effectively replaced all of my sustain pedals in a heartbeat.

Lightweight spare sustain pedalfor the road

The original sustain pedal for my YAMAHA P-255 is just to bulky to carry with in a keyboard bag. I bought the FC5 pedal as an lightweight alternative for the road. This pedal has not the same feeling as the FC-3A comes with but it is absolutely enough for my gigs in a blues-rock band. When playing classics I definitively would go for the FC-3A instead. Again it is a bit pricey compared to other offers. But this is what you have to take when choosing original manufacturer parts.

foot pedal for M-Audio Keystation 49

The Yamaha pedal works great at my studio command station for usage with Logic Pro X.

Very nice pedal

Solid and pleasant to use. You don't have to move up much your foot to release the pedal

Excellent

Very good quality, it works trouble-free since the first day. It sticks on the ground and doesn't slide away with each push, like other pedals. It is also compatible with several devices witch use a non-latching footswitch and it works perfectly in every situation. I will buy another one if I get another synth.

Great touch

This sustain pedal is one of the cheapest there is but i am very satisfied with the pedal so far. It does what it's should supposed to do and i like the touch and feel of the pedal. Easy to setup and to use.

Yamaha FC 5 Sustain Pedal

One of the best and economic sustain pedals aavailable in the market. It very comfortable for both keyboardists and pianists. Pianists might have another say about this product. But over all it is an inevitable accessory for the keys.

Solid and it doesn't slip!

The one curse of most sustain pedals is that they have a tendency to slip forward as you use them, forcing the player to awkwardly recover them with some foot acrobatics, invariably mid-solo or something.

Yamaha has thought well to pad the bottom of these with nice rubber which makes this pedal non-slip. I use it at home and live, and it stays in place on all surfaces.

Looks sturdy and reliable. Happy with it.

Feels Good

Compared to other similar pedals I've used, this one is a bit heavier. It is very rugged and doesn't slide under the foot like some lighter pedals would.

The action is robust. Spring isn't too light and you can actually feel the feedback when pressing the pedal.

Polarity is reversed with my Korg.

If you are buying this pedal to use with different keyboards than Yamaha, you' probiby find out that the pedal works the other way around (ie polarity is reversed). Unfortunately there is not a switch which allows you to reverse the polarity. Other than than, the pedal is fine.

5 stars all the way!

The features on this pedal are awesome... you step on it and it switches. It is rugged. It is not expensive.
