Good sound, but let down by couple of features - not a bullet proof mixer as it looked

I am satisfied with the sound and build quality. The functionality for channels 1-4 is great and very versatile, compare to cheaper counterparts.

What dissapointed me was the lack of "mono" input feaure on channels 5/6 and 7/8. If I have channel 1-4 full and have another mono source I can only plug it to channel 9/10, which has one of the two jacks "mono" so basically splitting the mono signal to both left and right. The problem is that the 9/10 is shared with USB in/out so if I want to plug in PC or phone for recording or backing track/click track playback via USB, I cannnot use this channel anymore. I have created mono splitter so I can plug in to channels 5/6 or 7/8, but it is extra effort in both creating the cable (found difficult to find ready to use one) and keeping it at hand....only because the manufacturer omitted such a basic function that even cheaper mixers have.

I am dissapointed that the 5/6, 7/8 and 9/10 are unbalanced connections - again some cheaper mixers have such functions.

The main switch could have been on the top, rather than at the back, which makes it sometimes tricky to find, especially if placed in some sort of shelf with limited access to the back of the device.

Yamaha MG10XUF

Install the correct drivers and the Yamaha MG10XUF is quality. Has some excellent Pre amps and is a great over all mixer. Very affordable

Yamaha MG10UF

Good mixer, very good pre amps for acoustic instruments and vocal. I use it that way.

Maybe I trade this for a Yamaha MG16 UF.

Perfect for the job

I bought it to be able to record stuff at home, do broadcasts, and live simple live gigs. No noise, clean sound. The effects are not the best, but overall this gives greater versatility than the Focusrite Scarlett in the same price range.

I can not say anything wrong about it. Advice: get a case if you need to move it around a lot.

Great mixer

I bought this to replace the 6 channel one I had. Great that it has mutes for each channel and XLR and jack outs. The effects sound really naturel, the reverbs are better than my more expensive Mackie.

Its very lightweight and the power supply is solid!

Its a bit more plasticky than my old one, but the plastic seems solid, thats why i didn't give top marks. Sounds great!

Did not expect to sound so nice and clear, the effects are also pretty good. The knobs are good quality and hope would last longer
