Yamaha Pacifica 112JL BL Reviews
Great Guitar
If you're searching for a relatively cheap left handed guitar, you can't go wrong with the yamaha pacifica. The guitar plays really smooth and feels well made. The guitar also stays in tune really well even in alternative tunings. I've have had the guitar in my possesion for around a year now and for my first real guitar i can't complain at all. Hope i've helped you with your decision, have a nice day, geffer.
Best left hand for beginners
First of all i was right handed guitar player but i injured my third finger so i decided to learn again with my left.
The guitar came with perfect intonantion, medium action and yes it was even in tune, on all strings, right out of the bat.
Pros:
The wood, i mean the wood on this guitar is top quality, better then what i have seen even on 1k ? guitars.
HSS configuration, best results on all music genres
Great sounding pickups, very clear on high gain amps (dual rect)
Perfect finish, no blemishes, dents or scratches
Very fast neck and smooth, its not a gloss finish so its perfect for me
Incredible tunning stability, i practice 1 hour each day and i check tunning every time, never went out of tunning since i bought it.
Cons:
Volume and tone knobs are for right handed guitars.
Personaly i love the guitar, its not a high end but feels like one, i own (right handed) 1 Gibson, 1 fender standard and a prestige ibanez and this yamaha feela as good as them.
Overall a great guitar in the Stratocaster tradition. Only downside would be the pickups sound a bit 'wooly'. This is the entry model in the Pacifica range & the only one available for left hander's.
