Great looks, Feel could be better
I tried a TRBX 505 from a friend and fell in love with it, great feel, perfect action, great worksmanship. Then I found this 4 string version with superb finish and decided to sell my Squier Affinity to buy it. As I got it, my jaw dropped, it looks better than in the pictures. But then I found the frets need to be smooth down, they are really bad in the higher frets. I also missed that great feel I felt with my friend's bass, the action is much higher, and I tried lowering it but then it buzzes, I actually ended up rising the action in the E-String a bit to get rid of some buzz. As benchmark, I was not impressed by the difference in feel between this and the cheap Affinity. All and all, nice features, super looks and perhaps if I send it to a technician to get the frets smoothed down and the action properly set, maybe the feel improves to the expected level.
