Awesome Groovie Sound!

TRBX 505 is outstanding! It offers a great sound in both passive or active mode on top of being really easy to handle (a little bit heavy on my lap but great balance on strap)! Overall it sounds great and looks great!

Outstanding purchase

The build quality and finish on this bass are excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending.

There is a very good variety of sound options in terms of active and passive switch and tone controls, and the pickups are a very good standard, giving a somewhat modern bass sound.

The thickness of the neck made it for me very playable, although I did have to lower the action slightly, but of course set up is a personal preference. The general construction feels very robust, and I would expect this to last well in normal usage. I am going to experiment with different strings when I get a chance, as of course the low B string is always a bit of a compromise on 5-string bass guitars, this yamaha is not worse than others in this respect.
