Zildjian L80 Low Volume 468 Box Set Reviews
Zildjian L80 Low Volume 468 Box Set
They are the best, for the long run
Fantastic
Not THAT quiet but still an improvement for home useâ¦
Totally worth it
I compared three different sets of low volume, and these were the most expensive but definitely worth the price. Very good sound, good dampening and most importantly neighbors approved!
Best option to practice ...
I practiced with an electronic kit for years, what i felt when i play the cymbals with an electronic kit never made me happy and satisfied. With these cymbals, everything feels great, the feel, response when you hit the cymbals is like you are playing regular cymbals, the sound is not perfect of course, but still satisfying and really very low. I liked the ride cymbal the most, its sustain is great for this group of cymbals. Overall sound is so reduced that you sometimes wish it to be a little bit louder.
Great sound
Great sound giving the characteristics
Stunning set
If you are after a low level set delivered with quality look no further. I personally love the look also.
Amazing Zildjian L80 Low Volume 468
I use this set for playing in my flat.
They are amazing because they keep the sound as it is in really low volume.
I will going to upgrade the set with the splash, gong and the bigger ride.
The vibration and the bounce are a bit strong comparing the standard cymbals.
They do the great job.
Real good set
great set and sounds really good, meet expectations
Impressed indeed
I must admit i was a bit unsure about ordering these for practicing at home.... but i should not have been. these are excellent
Really well made, have a good weight to them so they behave like real cymbals when hit, they swing and decay nicely.
And i would agree they probably do lower the volume by about 80%
Better than rubber cymbals, don't expect great sound.
I use these with my electronic kit for the feel, not the sound.
The hi hats can be really sharp (I use ear protection because of them) the 16' and 18' are decent, nothing bad or nothing good to say about the sound. I use them both as crashes.
The feeling however over rubber cymbals is night and day. You get the attack and rebound you would get from a normal cymbal, so what you learn translates perfectly to a real kit. Although they are heavier and you feel that.
A positive to that is that you will probably never break these.
I would recommend low volume cymbals for anyone who would get noise complaints and doesn't practice as much because of it. Would I recommend the Zildjan ones? I don't know, I haven't tried the other brands, I think about switching out the HH's sometimes tho.
Very good low volume cymbal set for good price
I practice on this when i started my adventure with drums. Then when I bought my own drum set i used dumpers to lower cymbal volume, but after getting some money i bought those with Remo silent stroke mesh heads and it was great investment. Finally cymbals had good sound and i could play without bothering rest of the family :)
The best option for quiet practice.
I bought these to use at home as my neighbours were complaining about my acoustic kit. Although I considered getting an electric kit, I opted for low volume cymbals paired with Remo silent stroke heads as I wanted to maintain the feel of an acoustic kit. They work perfectly and I've had no complaints.
Pros:
- Far quieter than normal cymbals.
- Play and feel like normal cymbals.
- The best sounding low volume cymbals on the market.
- Could also be used for quieter gigs, such as lounge or café shows.
Cons:
- They aren't completely silent, so this is something to consider if you're looking a silent practice option.
Very nice low sound quality and they are very strong material :)
GOOD Cymbals
These are a great solution to quiet practice at home but the stick is audible when hitting off the cymbals. They are worth it if you really need a solution to noise
Great for practice
Great product for practice in a well-built up area. I was skeptical of the Hihats at first as they sounded very washy, but playing with a full kit using Remo silent skins seems to fit in well. The ride cymbal seems a bit loud on the bell for otherwise great. The crash is lovely and low.
e - cymbals killer
ride: almost excellent, hats: the loudest ones when you 're using silent heads on the set, crash: kind of dissappointed by cause you really have to hit it in order to get the sound out of it... overall? solid decision over an e-drum set cymbals responsivewise.
Good starting point towards a more house friendly drum set
A good set. The 16" Crash are a bit thin, i highly recommend complementing with the 20" ride and you are ready to go!
Excellent Product
Cannot fault these. Combined with Remo silent stroke heads they are an excellent low volume solution.
It is a solution
Bought for my daughter. Now she can practice using cymbals anytime of the day
Low noise cymbals for practice
They do what they advertise , i practice with them in an appartment and they don't make too much noise to upset the neighbours , the sound is ok for practice but i don't know how they will stand on an acoustic gig.
