Excellent for practice

This is really all you need to start, in a nice package. Sure, not all effects sound great but for 100 euros you get some great ones, plus a metronome, tuner, looper and the ability to practice through headphones. Extremely portable. Couldn't recommend more

Super pleased with this device for practice and performance

It's great to put some headphones on, and practice at home, use the aux input to play backing music, or use a drum loop. I have also used it in performances.

Great

Would have preferred a metal chassis. This is a bit too plasticky and feels cheap and scary to stomp on. But boy, does it sound good. And lots of different sounds to choose from.

Great with aux input (would like a volume knob for that though) and headphones jack for playing at home while the kids sleep.

surpsingly good.

i bought this expecting it not to be that good but was pleasantly surprised. i originally bought this expecting myself to use the darkglass b7k distortion but couldn't find myself in that and figured that the sansamp model works really nicely, the fact that got a model of the avalon u5 di in there is also a very nice addition, it may not be as clean or sound as similar but it's still pretty damn good. (then again what does one expect from such an inexpensive pedal lol) I do wish that the software was a but better in terms of handling and that the food switches had more options in terms of assignment because i find myself switching to other modules as opposed to turning on/off the module I'm aiming for but that is, of course, a minor issue and if i paid better attention to it. all around a good pedal specially for the price.

10/10 would buy again.

Fun

I play just for fun, some punk music, and this pedal gives you a lot of funny effects options and you are able to customize them either.

Good sounds for practice but also for gigging.

Very much useable

First of all, for this price.... You can't ask for more.

That being said, yes ofcourse, you will most likely NEVER get sounds that you will get from Darkglass or something along that line. However, if you actually spend some time (A LOT of time) with it, you will get very competitive tones out of this pedal. EQ section is definitely pretty solid, but more specialized effects such as phaser or distortion is.. okay.. ish....

The construction is VERY uninspiring. The outer casing looks like low quality straight out Audi interior... ;) I have gigged this pedal 3 times so far, I haven't had any problems with parts falling or snapping off, and hopefully it stays that way.

You can set different channels up with different sounds, or you can set it up according to your setlist. Each channel houses up to 5 different effects, and it comes with a function where you can disengage each effect by stomping on the left pedal. Pretty cool. I'm a bassist, and I don't use a whole lot of different effects, so if I wanted to, I could set up a sound and effects I need for a typical setlist into one channel.

Overall, I recommend it. Do spend some time with it when you get it. It's worth the price (very low price).

Perfect little multi effect pedal.

I use the Zoom B1 four to practice all the time. It's perfect for beginners and advanced users. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use.

You'd think it would have a flimsy construction but it's actually very sturdy and robust. You can't go wrong with this pedal. It's a must buy.

Great little device

I use this with a Harley Bentley Bass and use with headphones as I live in an apartment. Good range of effects and Amp simulations. Does the intended job.

Not for recording, but still very good

There are some weird ticking noises in some patches when I increase the treble, so I wouldn't record with it, but for live use or practicing (which is my main usage), this is great!

Lots of different patches, synth and octaver trigger fine, great metronome/drum loops, and the looper is great for evaluating my progress when learning new things. The tuner is great, and battery life (if you let the screen turn off automatically) is very impressive - much longer than the 18 hours the manufacturer claims.

For the money, this is a total no-brainer, just don't expect it to replace high-end gear in a recording situation. But as a practice tool, I love it, and I wouldn't hesitate to drag it along on a smaller gig to just be able to hook up my bass to front-of-house.

Great alternative to a headphone/practice amp

The B1four is a fun and useful practice tool. I guess you could use it live but it might be a bit fiddly.

It's great for working out what all those pedals you've heard of do, without having to spend a lot of money. It also has amp sims, a tuner, and drum beats built in. Excellent value.

The build quality is solid, and USB power is a big plus compared to similar units.

Only thing missing is an on/off switch. You must disconnect the instrument cable to turn it off.

sweet sounds collection and easy to use

I was already tempted by it while it was sold for a 100€. Reviews on Youtube and other medias were all great.

When I saw it down to 66€, it was an insta-buy.

Effects and amp sims are sweet. Looper and rythm are nice addition even if I don't really care for them as of right now.

Its shell is plastic but nonetheless it feels heavy and solid. I was affraid to receive a china made crappy gizmo, happy surprise.

While unpacking it, I was anyway a bit disappointed when I saw that it was sold without any power source other than the offered 4 AA-batteries. Quick inspection showed also no sing of a real power switch on the pedal.

My first thought was that I will be forced to install those batteries each and every time I will be using the pedal.

Well call me stupid or ignorant, its powering itself on and off whenever you plug/unplug the input jack. Sweet!

Anyway, if you got one laying around, it can be powered via B-type micro usb cable (smartphone charge cable) or an usual 9v dc lead.

So all an' all, quite happy with it. Once again, for that kind of money, it's worth every cent.

Great first pedal

Useful and fun bit of kit. Bass electronic tuner. Headphone Amp for private practice. Metronome for practice. Play spotify or YouTube from phone mixed with bass playing, great for playing along and online lessons.

And as an added bonus it has lots of cool sound patches to enjoy creating new sounds from your bass.

Unbelievable options for such a low price

I was utterly amazed by the number of effects it has and for the sound quality of most of them. Got it as a budget-bedroom gear for my Traben Chaos Attack and I can say that I'll definitely trust in for live gigs

Great for price and fun!

Great for price, but can not do miracles.

Many effects available. Some are fine, others are way too similar to each other and do not really reproduce the original wanted sound.

Good for fun, without the need of having many pedals around.

For beginners only.
