Great bass pedal for price

was looking for affordable bass pedal and bought this awesome thing

This pedal gives a lot for its price. Made from sturdy materials. Has many usefull features.

At first it was quite tricky to use, but when you get use to it its very intuitive

Recommend.

Great value!

Well, I'm not an expert, but I think this pedal is the best way to find out which effects (physical pedals) you need. The price is killing... and you can set endless variations of effect chains. This pedal has all kinds and tips of effects you need. Of course, it is not so easy to tweak the sound on a fly and that's why we still love the good old heavy pedalboards. But if you are not this kind of musician, definitely try this pedal.

Built quality is good, except the power supply which has no label on it and has an extra thin cheap cable. It seems like ordered from eBay... But still this is not a deal-breaker and you can use any other standard 9v power supply. I like built-in tuner/mute function. It is a basic thing, but still very handy.

Generally, you can go to the jam or small gig with just one pedal which easily fits in your gig bag. The downside is lack of XLR output, but yeah... remember the price :) Zoom has found its market and has made great development during the years. P.S. Love the portable recorders also.

Cumbersome

I owned a Zoom B3 before this newer version which, to say the least, is a real downer when it comes to ergonomics. Trying to cram the controls for 7 effects in those 3 little tiny displays is a bad idea to start with. The effects scroll left and right through the pedals so you can't never be really sure of what is actually running, especially when you're in preset display mode.

Plus you have to turn those tiny knobs a whole lot to adjust parameters. There is no speed up whatsoever. And then the displays goes back to showing the preset as soon as you let any knob go. This is cumbersome and useless.

I did not notice a major improvement in sound quality compared to the previous version, which was quite good already. The additional Aux In is a good add-on, but for the rest this new version is quite disappointing.

Fantastatic sound quality, great for headphone practice, recording and for an ampless setup. The preamp sims are spot on and the cab sims are very good. Frequent updates and good customer support.

Experimenting with new sounds

?t's a processor with many features and choices that takes time to get familiar with it.

I want to feel the joy of experimenting with new variant sounds , so I decided to purchase it by reading reviews from other customers here on the website. And I didn?t not regret it. Excellent build quality, you can feel it first by opening the package. It offers a lot and gives value to the money you give. There are many combinations of option with patches and effects. A very important asset is the ability to refresh new sounds from the manufacturer's website through software that is being offered. After two years of use I can say that the tool has left me satisfied, not only for processing sounds with my bass guitar but also with the electric guitar. Some of the effects it provides are lagging behind due to parallel noise, but in relation to the low purchase price I think it makes sense.

Lots of patches and functionality of use. Great build. Loving it. Best for the price. Highly recommended.

All the effects you need in a box

compared to my "old" G3 ZOOM (for guitar) this is a step forward.

- Free slots for own patches, tuned to your need

- quick move from patch to patch

- quick move from patch view to stomp view

- easy to tweak individual effects

- good construction

for this price, this can't be beaten

My first effects pedal

I decided that this was the best option for trying out effects, you get a lot for a very reasonable price.

The best feature for me is the drum sounds, I just find it so much easier to practice with an appropriate drum beat rather than a metronome.

Obviously I am no expert on bass effects but I find the pedal easy to use and it's great fun experimenting.

The pedal seems to be very well built and I have no issues with the quality of sound produced, the tuner works well and the menus are easy to navigate after a little time getting used to them.

All in all I am more than satisfied with my purchase.

Excellent pedal

You get a lot for your money with this pedal. Takes a bit of time to get used to the controls & menus but once used to it, its easy to set up new patches and navigate menus. Some of the preset patches sound great, in particular some of the rock/metal overdrive & distortion patches sound really good, not as good as individual pedals but not too far off. Far more convenient than a pedal board in general and much cheaper. This is also a good pedal to start with to see which kinds of effects you would use regularly if you wanted to put together a pedal board in the future. It has a lot of effects/tools for such a small unit.

You pay for what you get and more!

I have been using it for a few months and it's really cool what you can do with it. Easy to use, lots of possibilities, most of the effects sound good, some sound REALY good. Give it a try guys.

An incredible pedal, just not for me

This pedal can do everything, and it does not surfer from sound quality because of it.

You will never need another pedal after this, is can do it all, and it is on par with all the other expensive pedals, just at a fraction of a cost of a pedal board.

It comes with a range of patches to start of with, but bear in mind they will need to be individually tweaked to suit the sound you need. I did have difficulty trying to get a good sound from some pedals, but that was due to me not the pedal.

If you want a cheap option for a pedal board and you have time to tweak it to your preferences then this is the pedal for you, unfortunately this wasn't the pedal for me as it was too much fiddling around trying to find the sound i wanted, and not really finding a use for it when playing, but this mostly as i prefer playing clean.

Would very much recommend if you want to try a lot of different pedal sound, but dont want to pay out.
