Pleasant low profile footswitch

Bear in mind that the polarity is fixed and it is NORMALLY CLOSED! Other than that it is sturdy and has a satisfying operation. Bought one just like this one a few years back for someone and Zoom changed the internals somehow. The previous version would make a satisfying mechanical click when pressed. This one is silent and not tactile so you cannot feel when it is operated unless when bottomed out (which is easy enough to feel due to the low profile) You can load a lot of weight and repetitions of movement on this guy. Built to last! Would only wish for a polarity switch but can't have it all. Full metal construction with a rubber contact pad. Will last for years of use and abuse.

Handy for recording

Should say 'footy' really!

Have used it pretty much every day for a few years and couldn't be without it!

Quality excellent, functionality depending on the wiring

This low-profile foodswitch is well build with a sturdy metal casing. It's design is very simple, I love it.

But what I miss is that nowhere is said that the wiring configuration is like it is normally closed (N.C.) and so interrupting when you press. That is the other way round compared to the momentary switches that I owned before, and some devices that I own and I wanted to use this switch for to expect normally open (N.O.) circuitry.

Well, the thing is this can be easily modified. But you need to grab a 2.0 mm Allen key and a soldering station.

Change the red wire and rewire it to the middle pole of the internal microswitch and it will be N.O. I really missed this in the manual - I mean for a lot of people this rewiring procedure is not such a big deal.

Mind that the cheapo jack cable that comes along is a bit on the short side and of poor quality. Nevertheless, good value for money rate.

Does what its supposed to

Nothing bad to say about this. If you need a non latching foot switch, this is a good choice. Small and sturdy.

Neat form-factor, good quality

This feels a cut above the cheapest of the available foot switches. It seems solidly made and feels nice under the foot. I particularly like that it uses a (detachable) standard instrument cable to connect to the keyboard which simultaneously makes it more robust and makes it easier to stash neatly in a gig bag.

Zoom FS01

Tap temp for delays is next to impossible with the Zoom G3x. The FS01 is perfectly sorted this , I like that it is quite flat and the area that you press is quite wide , so I don't have to make sure to hit a small switch. It comes with a nice long lead as well so I can position it where I normally tap my foot as I play , then I don't need to think too much ! The construction is quite strong too metal and sturdy rubber , no danger of it breaking anytime soon. Makes a really good effects unit even better

Great footswitch!

I bought this Zoom FS01 Footswitch to go along with the Zoom G3X guitar effects pedal and it certainly doesn't disappoint. It works perfectly and can be assigned for many functions on the G3X.

The Zoom FS01 Footswitch is a non-latching footswitch meaning that if you're thinking of using it to change the channel of your amp, it'll simply change the channel back once your foot is removed from it's surface.

Still, if used as intended for Zoom products, indeed I'd imagine, any guitar effects unit with applicable footswitch operation, the Zoom FS01 won't let you down.

Great Footswitch

This little baby is brilliant. I've bought it to for my Zoom G3X to have an extra switch for live gigs. I've already used it few times and so far I'm very pleased. Built quality is excellent. It's made of metal with hard rubber foot pad on the top of the switch and softer rubber pad underneath for good grip on the floor. It comes with 1.5 metre cable and it's small and thin enough that you can carry it in your pocket. Great product worth every penny.

Zoom FS01

Does the job exactly. Simple and sturdy design. I got it to plug in to the footswitch connection on my BCF2000 to punch in manually while recording to a DAW.

You might want to get a longer more flexible cable for it though.

Sturdy and nice foot switch

One of the most simplest and most reliable foot switch. It is as simple as possible, but not simpler:

1. You can completely disconnect the cable, so it makes sure you won't crash the cable at its root with a time, like this is happening with Yamaha switches.

2. It is aluminum case, so feel free tapping it with your foot, playing heavy metal. :)

3. It does not slides around and sticks on its place sturdy.

4. Probably unbreakable.
