Zoom Multi Stomp MS-60B Reviews
Multi Zoom box does it all
I was looking for an equalizer pedal to add more mids and lows on my MusicMan 5 strings bass and I saw this Zoom pedal which offers a lot of options. The logic of selecting effects and in the right order can be a little confusing at first, but when you get the hang of it, its not too difficult. The sounds very good, though not a 100% like the "real" sound of brand pedals, but close enough and for a very attractive price. I also like the build tuner. It is very solid build in metal case. I never like having many bass pedals between my bass and amp, and this pedal reduces the quantity to just this one.
A great little pedal
What a great pedal. I bought one for long travel gigs when I didn't want to carry too much kit. Most of the effects are great and the MCompressor in particular is particularly good. Effects can be chained and memories stored and recalled quickly - so it's very versatile.
It's well made and very solid - I don't doubt it will lest.
Well worth the price.
Swiss Army Knife for Bass Players
If you are looking for a bass players multi tool in a single stomp box then this is it. This is the trimmed down version of the B3, but 4 effects at a time instead of the 3 you get with the B3. The amp and speaker sim models here are very nice and you'll find yourself spoilt for options and tones when recording direct. This is a well built little box, but watch out when inserting leads as the paint does chip rather easily, that being said, the intelligent layout and functionality of the control and general construction is of a quality belying it's price. A vast majority of the effects are all very usable, aside from the pitch shifting which is a little disappointing, this is where the Line 6 M5 excels. The compression models here are of the highest quality, especially the DBX160, brilliant for slap tones and calming down some of those peaks. I'm mainly using this pedal live to switch between different tones for fingers and pick playing, I also use the many possibilities to add a bit of grit to your tone, especially with the Bass Driver model. All these effects are easily switched in a live situation via the ingenious menu system which allows you to pick out the programs you require for a particular set. So many options and hours of fun and fiddling, make no mistake, this is a great bit of kit for the money and something I'm sure will stay in my gig bag for many years.
