So good

I wouldn't say it's the best cymbal I've played, but it's definitely worth the money.

Quality splash

This splash sounds like much more expensive one and has been 'abused' for 3 years now with no signs of giving up. All other splashes I owned broke long before that and that says a lot.

Great splash!

I bought the 8" and 10" version after reading all the good reviews and listening to the sound clips. When I received it I got a little sceptical since the 8" felt a bit thick, but when I played it, it sounded amazing. Very quick and crystal clear sound. Better than the sound clip. Not as "gongy" even if was a bit thick. Both sounded perfect.

Nice splash

For these price you will buy only horrible sounding splashes. This sounds nice and crispy. It’s six months that i’m playing and recording it with great satisfaction and no cracks. I bought also the 8” but sounds not as brilliant as the 10”. Anyway Zultan is the most underrated brand in cymbals. The higher price series sounds like a Zildjan for a fraction of their cost.

Great sound, considering the price of the cymbal the overall value is amazing. I was so pleased with it that I got the 12" splash as well.

Sounds amazing

One of the best splashes I have ever heard. No ringing bell overtones that usually come with cheap splashes and it doesn't feel like it'll shatter like a lot of other cheap cymbals. The fine details are a little rough, but nothing that can be faulted on cymbal that sounds so good at so little money.

25 euros???

The price for what you get is completely insane. B20 bronze. The sound is REALLY good, and I am quite picky on splashes. The appearance however is very "vanilla" - natural finish, no visible hammer marks, but you dont really care about the appearance of a such low priced splash cymbal. The splash is what i would call medium thin.

A side note - the splash came with a very visible lathing defect, which was on the bell of a cymbal. I could not feel the "dent" with my finger, so I decided not to return it, and the visible defect is fully covered by the cymbal felt. I hope this will not result in a crack in the future.

I gave the total a score of 5/5, because you cant really beat this price, and the sound is of a splash worth 100 euros.

Highly recommend.

B20 10'' splash for 20€?! What's not to like here!?

The item arrived packaged really good, it was nicely protected.

Sound of the cymbal can be easily compared to more priced splashes. After all, it is b20 splash that costs 20€ and some change?!! Sound is really satisfying from what I've heard so far, and should also be usefull on gigs. I sincerely don't know why would I buy some 70-120€ splash when I can have this one. Even if I buy it 2-3 times (if it breaks) I'm still under the budget of some more expensive cymbal that, by the way, also can break.

Cons: (guessing)

I guess they wouldn't be as good as more refined splashes in studio recordings. ---- I pull this back. The splash sounds like it would end up being pretty good in recordings as well!!! (First guessing was based on a cymbal being hit on my hand!)

I can seriously recommend this cymbal!

Amazing

Looks great, sounds great, the price is unbeatable and a great size to get some short and effective accents through the beat.

Great splash for cheap!

My first experience with the Zultan cymbals. I also have the 18 Aja crash and 17 Aja crash, and, I think, splash is my favourite! I bought them for practice and band rehearsals, to use them instead of more expensive cymbals. The sound is great, no problem using them instead of Zildjians A's. I don't know about the durability yet, so far everything is fine(2 months of use, 4-5 times a week). Music played is mostly rock-oriented with crash-riding from time to time. If you on a budget, the Aja series sounds much better than similarly priced top brands cymbals for sure. Interesting to try more expensive Zultan cymbals. Recommended!

Sweet

I'm not generally a great fan of splashes, but for this I make an exception. It has a much more washy feel with a bit of sustain that I find pleasing.

Quality is very much better than you could reasonably expect for the price. That seems to be true of Zultan generally (I have a set of Zultan Caz that I am very pleased with).

Out of curiosity, because I wanted to experiment with a small set of hats for a compact practice / bop kit, I tried using this as the top hat over a heavier 10" splash (a cheap Stagg) and the result was suprisingly good.

love this cymbal to bits

I use this cymbal if I am wanting a really clear and bright sounding splash which I think sounds best when it is slowly rolled it has such a great sound to it. I never buy cheaper end cymbal but this was exceptional and i plan to buy more aja cymbals

I love those splashs

I have few, 8, 10 and 12....great. They tend to break after a while, but they all are.

Nice little splash !

Nice sound and unbeatable price ! It is not a Ride cymbal or a Hihat.. it is just a little splash. Buy and combine as many as you can (or need) and choose between them the sounds you want to produce and ... hit 'em up !

10" Aja Zultan

I fell in love with this one, for this price you get and instant add on to your cymbal set.

This splash is way better than the sample!! I bought this just to experiment, never had a splash, never needed one but with this price i had to try and wow, points for Zultan!

I am sure if i break the splash i will definetly buy again, take my money!

A Modern Drummers Eldorado

Qualities -

Thin, good quality alloy, sounds great as a splash.

But to use it as just a splash would be such a shame. This is a great entry point to anyone who is interested in new sounds on the kit. I often use it on top of my 20" Caz ride, just stack it on top, it sounds awesome. Experiment and put it on top/underneath all your cymbals.

But the coup de grace is when you put it on your snare. Oh my. It sounds exactly like an electronic snare/clap sound when I lay it on my snare (13" Yamaha musashi) and hit the edge of the cymbal.

To summarise, just buy this thing, it's too cheap not to. Sounds fine as a splash, but serves much better when you get weird with it.

Great Splash - why pay more?!

This splash sounds incredible, particularly when you consider that it costs less than half the price of many other brands. I bought this to sit on top of my hi-hat stand (balanced on a Sonor hi-hat clutch - Product No.287411) on my cut down gigging kit. (cajon, remote cajon pedal, hi-hat and snare)

I needed a small cymbal to punctuate fills without having to carry and set up another stand. I saw a few other drummers using this set-up online and thought it might work for me so I ordered the clutch and the splash cymbal together. The result is that this cute little cymbal sits nicely on top of my hi-hat rod (a good 2? of the hi-hat rod is held inside the clutch so there?s no chance of it getting knocked off!) A little plumber?s tape on the thread prevents the nut coming loose and dropping the cymbal mid- gig. Needless to say it works brilliantly, I think it has a nice trashy sound with a nice short sustain, which sounds fantastic with many syles of music. I am truly delighted with it and still can?t believe it costs so little in exchange for such a great sound. Highly recommend.

Great for the money.

I really can't complain for the amount that this splash costs... It's not very light so isn't very fast but does have a higher pitch than most 10"s.

Great for stacking or using as a snare effects cymbal.

Nasty and Raw!

This 10" splash is unbelievably good. It's brutally cheap. 20 euro for splash. And sound: it's really thin and makes nasty, raw, a bit like china sound. Really great for accents. Quality might be a problem, but if you are not lazy, just a bit of sandpaper can solve problem. If you are lazy, just buy a new one, because it's cheap. Great sounding cymbal. I love it.
