FetHead : A must-have for dynamic and ribbon mics

I use it with all my dynamic and ribbon mics. On some interfaces, especially on scarlett (I use 2i2 2nd gen), I can hear the difference between two SM7B mics, of which only one is attached to a FetHead.

It makes me feel secure knowing that expensive ribbon mics are protected from phantom power, which I did accidentally turn on in the past :(

You can't go wrong with it. There are no buttons. I plug it into my mic, attach an XLR cable and it works.

Some mixers don't allow you to turn on phantom power for each mic input separately. FetHeads make it very easy if you're using a combination of dynamic and condenser mics. Using FetHeads, mics sound better with phantom power.

These are 4 advantages of a FetHead. So far, I haven't found a single disadvantage. In my opinion, this is a must-have item for dynamic and ribbon mics. Of course, you could buy a more expensive alternative, but there is no cheaper one.

If you spend a lot of money on a studio mic, why not add a FetHead which so many recommend?
