M3 : Finally replaced my C1000 and very happy
For many years I used without fail a C1000 for all sorts of recording (acoustic instruments) and was very happy. After an 'incident' it was time to replace it. I was not sure whether to go for a newer Version of the C1000 or the Rode M3, but very happy I went for the Rode.
It is built like a brick and soundwise, I actually prefer it to the C1000, to my ears it has a fuller more transparent sound. It handles vibration well, but ditch the mic clip for a nice shock-mount clamp.
All in all very nice mic. I might even get another.
