Very Good

Used this for recording acoustic guitar. Not the most expensive or "sassy" but does the job very well.

clear as a bell

Really impressed by these mics from the first use, really clear and useful for podium speakers and acoustic instruments. Whatever you need it for the price cant be beat.

Great for the price!

It is good mic for acoustic guitar. I use it in combination with large diagram mic to get extra high frequencies of my Taylor guitar. Also tried for vocal in the rehearsal room and it sound great without microphony. Great piece of equipment for home recording.

good budget all-aroud microphone

Variable power options, HPF and two step pad and also handling noise rejection makes it very versatile for at site work. Sound is acceptable and so is also price.

Perfect all-rounder.

Very versatile and can be used for just about anything. Surprisingly good sound for the price, sturdy construction - and the battery option is really handy. I first used this as an ambient room mic (set up as per a shotgun), as far from the kit as I could get it and it worked so well I almost felt like I didn't need anything else other than the vocal mics. Although my efforts are directed at recreating a vintage mid-century vibe, I think this peice of kit would come in very handy, no matter what.

The Rode M3 is incredibly Versatile! Allowing to bring your sound to a next Level. I highly recommend! Great quality at a lower

The M3 feels robust, and the supplied stand adaptor looks unbreakable. I ran the mic on phantom, from an installed battery, and with phantom when the battery was installed and it worked perfectly on each occasion.

A well-engineered microphone that is capable of handling just about anything, any instrument with a remarkable degree of competence for the price. Smooth-sounding, with good extension at both ends of the spectrum, and the ability to cope with high SPLs, this is a very flexible mic, aided further by its ability to run on an internal 9V battery or phantom power.

Pros:

Extended frequency response with smooth extremes.

Battery and phantom powering.

Gentle presence peak for subtle air.

Switchable HPF and pads.

Cons:

No body-switch markings.
