E 602 II : Ok for bass drums...
Needed a good bass drum mic so I purchased this one with some guidance. Ok, the mic itself is great. The build is solid and it really is a good quality piece of equipment. Now, on the other hand, I did have some issues getting the right positioning and sound coming through the PA system from the bass drum. This may have been a personal lack of knowledge but as several people tried several tricks and whatnot, they had issues as well.
Personally, this could come down to the size of your bass drum (height and depth). I believe a deeper sound from a larger bass would work better with this mic than a higher pitched smaller bass.
