its nice

the keys and pads feel nice. the arpeggiator is really nice as it has a screen to show the tempo but the endless encoders act EXACTLY like standard pots, as in: if you have two instruments and switch between them the encoder will keep the last set value on the other instrument instead of getting the value from the new instrument. it also has zero daw integration, so I'll be returning this and getting the novation launchkey mini

Good starter midi keyboard

It suits the needs I have for it, my one issue is that the drum pads seems a bit unresponsive. I have to hit it fairly hard to get a consistent sound out of it, and even then it often doubles the hit, making it hard to record any drum patterns with it. I can only assume it’s a settings issue on my end, but it is a tad rough on the fingers. Apart from that the programmable knobs are great for a lot of purposes, I use them to adjust virtual amp settings for the guitar, which is a bit easier than gripping the mouse while playing constantly.

Super portability, keys are often failing

"I'm buying a new one soon because of its great features, but the keys keep failing. This is my third replacement in 5 years because some keys stop sending MIDI."

Sturdy, great for price

A small package that comes with everything you’d expect, feels solid not cheap, pads are surprisingly good and the knobs feel nice to turn. As of everything else it is a MIDI controller how you would expect it.

great price-quality ratio, amazing and cheap

offers all the features needed from a midi keyboard while being cheapr by over 40% of competitors midi keyboards that provide the same features, i must admit that the buttons had a slight problem but it gets fixed when i unplug it and then plug it in again, the quality is as high as you can expect form such a cheap product but it still managed to amaze me.

Great entry level Controller

I have been using it for a while and it works flawlessly, it's great if you don't have alot of extra space also.

Great

Jako dobra spravica za male novce. Izuzetna za kućni studio.

Good but not perfect

The only problem...the pads are not sensitive enough and it is not possible to adjust them

Not bad

All good with this midi keyboard. One thing i don’t like in particular is the “feeling” of the keys (i.e. soft playing is not loud at all).

Nice little starter keyboard

Good intro to midi keyboards, enough for me to plug in to Ableton and start music. Box feels a little plasticky, no real weight to it, but otherwise does the job well.

Keys and pads velocity works well. Supprised with the force required to register max velocity, I have no experience as to whether that's normal or not for these things. Pads and keys do respond well to subtle touches, so happy for normal playing. Jut have to really mash the pads/keys for it to register as a hard strike.

Software is a bit limited and dated, and single licence means I cant install simultaneously on my PC and mac.... However the voice library with the AKAI software is pretty comprehensive.

All in all, happy with the product.

Does the job

I just needed something to control garageband and add some keys and drums, it does it perfectly.

I pu 3 inquality as I am running in a M1 macbook mini and the soft provided is not working properly so far.

Good mini keyboard if you can live with small keys

Good quality overall, but the keys are very small. I am not a keyboard player, bought the Akai to learn a bit of piano. Loved the pads and the knobs, hated the keys. Creating your own MIDI bindings in the AKAI editor software is a pain as you have to manually put in note numbers, AKAI mention a pull up menu for note names, but it's nowhere to be found at least not in the latest version of the software. I sold the piano after two months. I think M-Audio Oxygen 49 Mk4 is a much better offer if you're ready to shell out 20 euro more.

Bang for buck

Decent MIDI keyboard for people wanting low budget boost to their production. For the price the build quality is really good; not a fan of the pitch bend joystick, but other than that all of the MPC pads, keys and knobs are feeling nice.

It comes with few VST plugins, which is a cool addition. The USB -cable included could be significantly longer though.

All-in-all, a great value for the money.
