recomend!!!

as always, the products of this brand are on the subtle! I use it on overheads over drums and for recording overdriven guitars

Good value.

Used for choir recordings, music, video production and voice over.

Quite a wide cardioid pick-up, I have found that microphone placement is not too critical (which is good). Sensitivity range copes with unexpected peaks. I feel confident that I will get reliable recordings.

I like the general build quality and that it will run off AA batteries. There are two plastic inserts which change the performance. It will be easy to lose them and they need to be pushed into place, which is not ideal (screw fit would have been better).

I have found them excellent for female voices, maybe less of a full rounded sound than with other microphones, but that is very subjective (definition: based on, or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions, not facts.).

It is not a highly directional spot microphone or a small, discrete microphone. I haven't dropped mine yet, but they do seem robust.

Easy to use and live with in general. If you want a good all round microphone, then this seems excellent and in addition good value.

Recommend.

A Great all rounder!

The C1000s is a super multifunctional mic with various applications. I have been using it in a live setting, micing an acoustic piano in a church & it sounds absolutely great. It's also great for recording instruments such as acoustic guitar and drums. One of the best small diaphragm mics (not much) money can buy.

Decent Condenser Mic

I found this mic to be pretty decent quality for the cost and in terms of sound. I was happy using this in a live situation.

Swiss Army knife of mics

I love this model of mic from AKG, it's so versatile. It's tough, easy to use, captures a great sound and you can use it for almost anything and it'll do a good to excellent job. I have a pair of AKG C1000S mics now, and I'd happily take another pair - I can't have enough of them around, and they're absolutely brilliant in a live environment too. For the price, I think they're pretty much unbeatable.
