AKG C214 Stereo Set 4-stars Reviews
Nice with the odd bump
Great sounding mic's, very clean and natural. Perfect for vocals and make pretty decent drum overheads as well however, I have found it to sometimes be a little off in the low end when tried it on a baby grand and a guitar. Otherwise, it's been a fantastic mic and it now comes out regularly on live sets.
Amazing polyvalent mics
Can be used for pretty much everything. I've used them for drums overheads, voices, acoustic guitars, or even an orchestra's harmony, never been disappointed.
A very versatile and detailed mic!
This set of microphones I have used for vocals, overheads, cello, sax, acoustic guitar and ALL sound great! They are a true workhorse in my project studio. If I had to find fault with them they can emphasise the top end a bit. Sibilances and string "noise" for instance so don't expect a completely transparent sound. However they can colour the sound in a nice way and are worth every penny for the versatility and sensitivity they provide. A quality product as always from AKG.
