Classic headphones that never fails.

I have headphones from all the major brands, but the I use the series model for more then 20 years, never let me down, sound, build quality, another pair of ear pads and two kinds of cables.

Good headphones for the price

Good sounding headphones in their price range. I use them mainly when silent practicing guitar in my apartment.

Build quality is ok, but they tend to get a tad uncomfortable after a prolonged use.

Spot on, great product

Perfect for home recording.

light on head. Easily adapt to different shapes and sizes of heads. The sound is very clear mid-forward. The bas is very punchy, yet natural, Only con is that because they are very quiet and semi-open, higher tones can be a little bit behind if there is any ambient noise. All in all 8.5/10 would buy again.

Its very good. The sound is clear. Its very comfortable to wear. It seems solid. The cable is detachable. You have short and long one. Very good. Highly recommended.

Really good headphones for musicians

I use it for guitar practice from my amp and also for recording and editing. It does a great job.

For a beginner, it's the right product.

Good value for money

Clearly, these studio headphones are on the affordable side of the market. As such, they do not disappoint. They have a fairly good and balanced sound and reasonably good build quality. They can be used for general listening, instrument practice and some studio work, but do not expect performance comparable to headphones costing 10 or 20 times more.

Not as good as they say...

I bought this headphone because everybody said it's perfect but the main problem is that the overall volume is much much lower than my other headphones and I'm not even get used to loud music.

The sound quality also not very impressive. It's also very uncomfortable. I can't use it for anything. The built quality is OK, probably last long if you accidentally like it, but that's the only positive thing I can say about it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone sadly.

Good for home studio use

I use these headphones daily in my home studio. I do voiceovers and audio editing.

They're by far the best headphones I ever used.

They are comfortable and I'm more than happy that they come with a coiled cable in the pack, which I use when I am editing, so I don't trip over the regular one.

As a successor to the legendary AKG K240M from the Seventies which I used for HiFi listening, this MkII is a very worthy replacement. Strongly recommended for bass lovers like me.

You won't go wrong here

Solid headphone, well built, Choice of cables and muffs included. Very clear for mids and highs, not bass boomers which suits my taste.

Use them for monitoring jams and home recording sessions.

I've stood on them a few times - not a problem so far, bought them 3 months ago and they get daily use.

Extremely Good Quality for the Price

I use these headphones for mixing and for podcasting with a friend, and in both cases I get crystal clear and accurate sound that far exceeds other headphones cheaper than this I have tried, and is also amazingly comfortable to wear, as my podcasting partner agreed when he tried them.

The semi-open design helps deliver decent sound quality without sacrificing isolation, making it really good for hearing how your instruments will sound in a mix as you record them while keeping room noise to a minimum.

Pros:

Allows for both mixing and recording use, and excels at both for its price range, making it ideal for musicians on a budget or recording while travelling/on-site outside of a studio.

Cons: Slight lack of clarity in the low/bass frequencies can make mixing bass-heavy mixes tricky, however it is only slight, and hardly noticeable most of the time.

Overall a fantastic buy for travelling or budget-limited musicians, and at the price they are undoubtedly leagues ahead of other headphones in value for money.

Great for instruments & producing

These headphones are world-wide renowned for being honest and faithful in their music reproduction. Particularly fantastic for classical instruments such as the piano, they are also great for music production because of their flat frequency response. Their only downside is 1) comfort was not the highest priority and 2) I own a pair of vintage Sextett K240's, and while requiring a LOT more power to be driven, they sounded a little wider and more beautiful for lack of words. The current/modern ones sound a little more boring but again, for studio work that might be exactly what you need.

decent for all music except where deep strong bass is needed

I use them for checking my mixdowns, altho for production you could use something more higher end to get better sound tonality as they are neutral or even little bit lacking in bass frequencies, the rest of the frequencies (mids/highs) are good.

pros: they are lightweight and do not tire the ear

cons: the connectors inside are very cheaply soldered and may brake loose as it happened with mine, but can be repaired easily.

Good for studio/listening/guitar practice

These are very decent headphones for a variety of musical applications. They have a relatively wide frequency response and have little or no sound "coloring". This means they are good for monitoring and audio production, listening to music, and also plugging straight into the headphone jack of a guitar amplifier for late night practice. When pushed, bass, mids and highs sound nice and crisp. Being semi-open they do leak a tiny bit of sound so this model is not ideal for voice recording.

I usually find this type of headphones somewhat uncomfortable, but these ones are especially nice to wear. They are self-adjustable and the pads cup the ears nicely. The synthetic leather pads make me sweat a bit around the ears after 2 hours or so, however.

This set includes an extra pair of velour pads and an extra cord, which is a nice addition and worth the price difference compared to the MKI (at the time of purchasing). Having detachable mini XLR cords is, by the way, a great feature.

Within their price range and category these are a very good option and I am happy with them. They sound better and are better built than slightly cheaper options, but might not be what serious Hi-Fi enthusiasts are looking for. For the listed applications they perform very well and are very reasonably priced.

Great headphones

For this price these headphones are fantastic, i use them at my home studio for recording and some mixing. Even after hours i don't feel tired, there are comfortable and the sound is quite great.

great headphones

I have been using these for some time without complaints. It took some time for them to break in but now the sound is great. They sound very neutral, I would recommend them for mastering and recording rather than casual listening. They are also very comfortable to wear.

great for every application. you won't be able to go back from this pair of headphones, so comfortable and sound repro. so good. well done AKG! oh and did I mention the price? this headset is in the top 3 of the leading comparison mags and sites (for a pair less than a hundred 100 EUR)
