with small equalizer set works fine.

Overall just a nice and sturdy mic. been using it for past 3 or 4 yeras as my bass drum mic, and it works well for that (though it's still a bit mi-range heavy). nowadays I just use it on my floortom and it sounds massive for that purpose. can't go wrong for what it costs would be my advice.

Good for the price

This mic is definitely good for the price, with a good full sound whilst still being clear, but when compared to more standard (read: expensive) kick miss such as the D112 or Beta 52A it suddenly doesn't sound so good...

Definitely recommend it for the price but worth spending a bit more if possible.

Good enough...

Definitely worth the money, but you get what you pay for. However, in your average pub gig, nobody will notice that it doesn't quite measure up to more expensive range. It's pretty close, though - a decent dynamic range, and all that. If you're looking at budget mics, get this one.
