It's good

I used it for a hum I have in my speakers. I was using technics 1210s, a sub, a mixer and speakers. I changed all leads to xlr first, but the leads from the sub to the speakers were rca's that I just put xlr adapters on. I got the dti but it didn't eliminate the hum. So I've replaced the leads from sub to speakers with direct xlr leads and the hum is gone. I had to bypass the sub as it was those leads I've used. I will purchase now xlr leads and go through the sub again to see if the noise returns. Ultimately the dti didn't solve my problem initially, leads did but I can tell my sound is clearer and more crisp so it does improve sound. I will update this review once I change the leads from the sub and see if that helps.

ART Dual Transformer/Isolator

i got this to help me connect to my SD recorder with XLR. i go from my laptop (via M Audio Air Hub) to the DTI using TRS pair (balanced 1/4" jacks), then to my Denon 300R SD recorder with XLR. works great, and it's well built/feels solid and certainly will put up with studio use (it definitely seems like it's up to 'outdoor'/gig use too; and it's compact enough for on-stage). overall, i'm really happy with it.

This transformer was used to allow multiple inputs to be fed into the system in a bar in my local town. I had XLRs at the DJ booth and this box allowed anything to be plugged into the house system. If a band or DJ arrived, any possible mixer was catered for !

Accidentally bought this thinking it was a DI, but useful

I mistook this product as a stereo DI which was a bummer as its classified under that product category, but it proved useful for cleaning up cable runs with ground issues at the source. Only downside is that it takes an extra cable to hook up.

good to have one

it is good to have one, when the gig is about to start, and the potential is clogged - humming and buzzing, and there are no wiring alternatives - in those situations i praise the lord for having one. Although don't expect any miracles for such cheap price.

A small handy general purpose DI. It will not replace my Radial products, but at this price, I don't expect it to.

Handy for throwing into your gig bag, in case you get the dreaded ground loop hum. Also works on laptops.

Great product at a brilliant price.

Solid

This very solid bit of kit is as rugged as they come.

I bought this because I was having ground loop hums from my laptop while DJing, however I have to say the one downside of this unit is that it doesnt really come with accurate instructions for an idiot like me to use. I understand you can plug in one type of connector one side and take out another type on the other but as for reducing ground loop hums I never quite knew what to do. However, as I had stopped having the problem I never needed to.

So if you are looking for a very high quality transformer from one cable to another, this is the one to go for.

Workhorse

Nothing fancy. Does what it says on the box. Durable. Value for money
