Super useful!

Our mixer (XR18) only has XLR outputs but venues often ask us to send a feed to their in house system or something and this just makes it easy no matter what antiquated cables they hand you. Any input from XLR, TS, TRS and RCA to any of the same outputs. Really useful for, for instance DIing a laptop or an odd keyboard.

Works great

I hear a computer whine in my monitors when I use synths that have a grounded power connector (no problem with gear that uses an adapter).

When I use the DTI (jacks in - xlr's out), this whine disappears completely while the clarity and bass of the synth signal remains.

Great solution if you have this problem.

Excellent solution for PC and studio monitors

With this transformer i managed to eliminate the interference of my CPU and GPU on my studio monitors. Before, when the GPU (dedicated high end graphics card) was over 5% of usage, i could hear noise from the speakers (through the external audio interface through USB). With this Isolator, even when in 100% GPU usage, i hear nothing.

I strongly recommend it for home studios or whatsoever.

For computer use

I tried on my guitar rig, it sucks the volume. Maybe not what it meant for. But for reducing hum/ground from computer to PA, yes it does.

Very good for isolation

Cant beat this, it just works perfectly

Works like should

Works very well for my configuration. There is no noise and the necessary bandwidth is available. The cable length is approximately 60 meters. An earth connection is a particularly good option.

Excellent product for price; Lots of connection options

Good quality and simply works

Almost sort of a Swiss army knife for making connections between different type of cables. Solidly built and simply works. My main use is to function as an isolator to prevent phantom power from the mixing desk reaching my Line 6 Helix. But in different settings I also used it to go from an RCA to XLR cable (for obvious reasons).

Overall very happy with it. It would be even better if there was also a way to convert a stereo signal to a mono; no deal breaker for me though.

Solid piece of kit

Well built and very rugged. Very useful for converting from a balanced source to an unbalanced source - excellent for isolating noise.

Art Dti

I bought this item because i was getting humming sound in my speakers in some venues I was performing in DJing and also venues where my singers were performing. I friend recommended this item.

This item has dramatically stopped the problem and also improved the sound. I would highly recommend buying this item especially when performing in old venues where electric current ain't properly regulated and current is distorted.

Art Dti provides clean sound.

Great for it's job

Pros: The product is exactly as describes and high quality build. You surely can buy one if you need a long lasting unit with high performance.

Could not find any cons by now!

I never thought this would work!

I have been suffering a high pitched whistle on my KRK monitors, since I bought them last month, I tried everything, new cables etc.

Using balanced cables did reduce the noise by 25% but still annoying!

Then a good friend told me about this box!

I have just connected it between my Interface (Mbox) and the monitors, and hey presto, SILENCE! the noise has gone completely.

I am very happy, best 30 quid I have spent in a while!

The unit is small & robust.

I really didn't believe it was gonna work!

I had some issues with ground loop and hiss in my active studio monitors - placed this between converters and monitors and it was gone! Really a problem solver where everything else I tried had failed. Can also isolate keyboards with a grounding issue e.g. on stage. Good connectivity with parallel ins and outs on XLR, TRS jacks and RCA phono.

I can't hear any difference except that the hum is gone. It doesn't weigh much and the box could have been better constructed (not that it seems flimsy, but not so thick steel either, not like e.g Radial) but good enough for me and for the money.

Invaluable peice of kit

I have two of these and will probably end up with more! Hum loops can be a pain when setting up a PA rig in "unknown territory" and it wouldnt be the first time that earth wires have been temporarily removed from mains plugs etc, which whilst solving one problem creates another with regards to potential safety. These little beaties put all that behind us. With just about every possibly combination of in and out through phono, jack and xlr you can isolate 95% of all known audio connections. It is also possible with a little cunning to use it as a balanced signal generator/splitter, by using a short phono to phono link on the input side a single xlr or jack input can be fed to both internal transformers producing two separate, balanced outputs. A trick I have used a few times now.

Sturdy and well built a couople of these should be in every sound techs "goody bag"

Good DI

I've used this DI to connect from my digital piano to a mixer and to a monitor speaker. Two channel inputs and outputs: two mono jack outputs from the piano to the XLR inputs of the DI, and XLR outputs to the mixer and the monitor. Removed nasty humming and buzzing to the 'minimum' (didn't quite completely eliminated the unwanted sound). But I can only hear it when I stick my ear right next to the speakers. The only issue I found was since the male XLR cables do not click or lock on the input female channels, they seemed to slip off sometimes which made me to check regularly if they are plugged in properly. But overall happy about the item and the price.

Great solution for the problems it is made to solve

We got an old mixer for free. A large beast, but it was free. It turned out that if you hook a microphone directly to it, you can feel a small, electric jolt on your lips. Not good, it can even be dangerous. Enter the ART DTI. With this baby the jolts went away, and it can even to a small extent solve hum problems caused by ground loops too. I simply love this little thing, and having two separate channels means you can have two microphones instead of one connected or use it for stereo. It is also an adapter, by the way. It now is in permanent use in our rehearsal room. Maybe I'll get one more...
