ART Dualxdirect Reviews
great on stage
My keyboardist uses this for his 6.3mm keyboard and acoustic guitar. Does the job well and no issues so far (2 yrs or so)
As good as it says!
This D.I box is good. it can attenuate the signal up to -30db. also when a 9v battery is being plucked in, it will ensure the stability of the balanced signal passing through.
I love ART products, I cannot lie.
I use this DI on live performance using an AKAI EWI USB: computer>audio card>volume pedal>ART DI>PA. It sounds fantastic. It has ground lift and a very clean and robust output signal. There is one drawback. The on/off switch is right next to a large bolt that keeps the battery latch closed. The bolt was very tight and I couldn't remove it by hand. Using a pair of pliers, I broke the switch. Not the internal switch, just the clear plastic push piece. It still works fine, but it would be better if they could put that bolt somewhere further away from the on/off switch.
Simple and does the job
no for fussy buyers, i have tested it out in a live situation, do not hear any noise buzzing or static.
signal is good and they have pads on it and ground lift if so u need them.
Highly recomend
The choice of ART Dualxdirect is cost-effective
I use it to connect electric guitar and bass to ART Dualxdirect to the console for both recording and PA use.The sound is clearly and accurate. It have full function such as ground lift?two switchable power source and attenuator, which is very useful in PA.ART Dualxdirect is a good choice for DI !
Solid Unit
Fairly transparent, easy to use DI. It is useful as a signal splitter when tracking guitars and you need multiple parallel inputs. The ground lift and attenuator work well although a switch to add gain would be useful.
Does what it says on the tin
I use this strapped to my pedalboard. It takes the stereo output from the effects chain, and sends it to front-of-house. The through connections go to a small monitor amp.
Clear sound, no noise. Just perfect.
Only adaption I had to make was cut a small notch in the battery compartment cover to allow for it a 9v supply from the pedal board. This was in-case there is no phantom power available where I am playing.
Good robust DI Box
This is a great little Dual X DI Box. Robust, affordable and very handy for studio and stage applications. No noise issues at all and a few good functions to help improve performance to suit situations. Well worth checking out.
Good D.I. for live
Good device for live music or to plug a pc for presentations: the sound quality is not the best of ever, but that's more than enough for live purposes.
Really good quality-price ratio.
Poor qualtiy sound
Not for anyone who wants to record or perform without unwanted hum and hiss.
Very disappointing.
Double DI
I use this for my acoustic guitar rig.
i run straight to the PA in ch1.
Thru into fx/looper and via ch2 to seperate chan
A brilliant piece of kit keeping my rig nice and compact
Sounds great
useful device
This thing has been really handy in many situations. as a DI, sure, its clean etc. Have had some earth hum, but it has ground lift. I cant phantom power it form my small audio interface because it draws too much power. Its good as a DI, Splitter, or extender. Cheap good piece of kit to have.
very rugged unit
I was very impressed by the build quality on this DI, it is compact but also very rugged, great for live and studio use, i find it does'nt colour the sound in any way or add any noise. A great little unit!
On Stage Flexibility
Does what it says.......without fuss or complication. Ideal for stereo keyboard feeds into a desk, then on through the PA.
ART Dualdirect
Stereo DI Box - now have 2 of these in our Pa - run them off phantom power. I use this one to put a keyboard directly into the PA and take maximum benefit from the stereo sounds it has when gigging. Very good quality, very clean - no noise, very good price point for the features you get!
