Best buy for the money

This preamp is just amazing for this price range!

I'm using it for 4 years now and it performs great! Used it with large diaphragm mics and also dynamic mics (SM7B). Great versatility

Pretty good sound

I used it to record my songs on studio, this has a pretty good clarity sound warm, the compressor is very complete, we can get a really cool sound for a few dollars, of course we can't expect that this ART Pro channel II really works like Avalon but, he has a very comfortable sound, do everything that we need to create a good clarity records. the VU meters are incredible, with the switch button you can see the compressor values or the pre values.

I used it to record my piano Roland 300 nx, my voices with AKG 400 perception, my Taylor GC, and my fender strat. in line on my amp, and record with the micro.

I'm really satisfy with this stuff, this really works well !!

Bit noisy and tempramental

I use this mainly as a bass guitar preamp live. I can get a really good sound, but I have problems with hiss. This would make it unsuitable as a recording channel. I'm sure if I sent it back, it would be repaired and would be quiet again, but it sounds so good as part of my bass rig, I just don't want to be parted from it!

Great sound, reasonable build quality, but poor quality control to allow a noisy unit out of the door.
