They are everywhere for a reason

Had the previous model and totally noticed the difference! Bought these because there’s a pair in every single studio I visit, so I thought I should get used to it’s response. I rarely do final mixes in these, but they work very well in a pinch. Relatively flat and an all around work horse. They look great too!

I love these

Upgraded from ATH-M40X, I have been using ATH-M50X for years now, very good pair of headset, but if you're on a budget the 40's are very decent too. The sound is crystal clear for a closed design.

More than you need as an amateur

As an amateur bass player using the Audio-Technica ATH-M50X for home practice, I've discovered a headphone that excels in every aspect of performance. The ATH-M50X delivers an immersive listening experience with crisp highs, rich mids, and deep, accurate bass. Whether I'm practicing bass lines or immersing myself in music, these headphones capture every nuance with precision. During long practice sessions, comfort is essential, its snug fit, plush earpads, and adjustable headband delivers comfort. After hours of use, I experience minimal fatigue, thanks to its ergonomic design. However, the sturdy earpads can sometimes hurt my ears. Crafted with durable materials and meticulous attention to detail, the ATH-M50X is built to withstand the rigors of daily use. The inclusion of multiple detachable cables, including coiled and straight options, eliminates the need for purchasing additional accessories, enhancing the overall value proposition. In summary, the Audio-Technica ATH-M50X headphones offer outstanding sound quality, comfort, and durability, making them the perfect companion for amateur musicians seeking reliable gear for home practice.

Amazing sound, not the most comfortable

These are some of the greatest headphones I have tried, the sound is super flat and everything is clear to the ear when mixing. They are built like a tank, but you lose some comfort when wearing them for long periods of time because of the really secure fit, which also is a great thing when recording vocals cuase the sound doesnt bleed

Great sounding headphones.

As a musician who uses headphones for mostly everything, the ATH-M50X headphones have great sound quality, beautiful design and good build quality. My one complaint is that after wearing them for a while (+2-3 hours) they become a bit uncomfortable. Unlike the DT 770 Pro, you won't face such discomfort. But Generally for a tracking headphones, They are amazing.

Great pair of headphones

A friend who is an audiophile recommended these headphones. I haven't got experience with other models of quality headphones, but I am very pleased with them. The detachable cable is a big bonus.

I use them for listening to music and also for in my audio interface for playing guitar through amp sim on my computer. I only wish they had a volume scroll wheel on them, but that's ok.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50X

I use these headphones for mixing and recording. They never let me down and give a good representation of what is going on in my mix. Of course, every headphone has its character that you have to get used to. I would definitely buy these again.
