Great mixer - USB power connector a weak point

In general does what it says on the tin. Bit of a learning curve to configure effects etc but the ability to save presets very handy. I was concerned about the micro USB power supply port as it seems like it could easily break. Got one of these problem solved.

Small but powerful

I like this little mixer, for its features, but mic press could be a bit less noisy. But hey for the price you can't expect grace design quality.

I bought this for renting with powered speakers when I only need a couple of inputs such as a guitar and vocal or DJ with Mic. It is amazing for the price. I looked at basic 6 h analogue mixer but for the same price this has fully parametric EQ, graphic EQ on the outputs, compressor, interface. It's a no brainer. Behringer/Midas are great at coming up with very handy pieces of equipment for specific applications at a great price.

Простой и понятный пульт. Многие хотят моторизированные фейдеры, но сами ж понимаете, какая будет цена) Очень не хватает в приложении кнопок мют эффектов и тап. Компрессор как по мне никакой, прижимает только пики, а вот слабый сигнал не поднимает. Удобный своей компактностью. Лучшая функция это блютуз! Очень удобно включать треки без провода. Круто, что канал так же, как и другие можно обработать эквалайзером. Так же удобно, что можно по usb подключить ноутбук и на одном канале будет и блютуз, и usb. Если не нужны фейдеры, берите Soundcraft ui 12, у был и 12 и 16, по звуку нравятся больше, есть rta, полноценный компрессор с настройками и плеер на борту. Последняя прошивка читает кириллицу, но с вай-фаем встроенным беда, только внешний роутер. Бывало что и зависал, здесь такого не было, но приложение Flow часто вылетает. У меня IPhone 13 pro max и тем не менее. Allen heath zed звучит лучше, но тут конечно больше функций. Конечно удобно использовать и как звуковую карту - отпадает вопрос надо или нет. Поканальная запись есть. Однозначно своих денег стоит! Покупал сразу с кейсом, что и вам советую!

Blown away with this small thing

I ve used tha xr16-18 and several analog mixing consoles the last 10 years.

This was an actual surprise for the money but mostly for the size.

Easy of use 10/10

Sound quality 10/10

Cons...some times when I go to an other app, I have to re - pair the tablet with the flow. That happend to me 3 times in the over 20 times i ve used it...

An absolutely amazing product for an unbelievable price

Everything functions as advertised, and my experience is better than I expected. The only thing missing I feel are motorized faders (instead of that they have an offset light which isn't ideal but one can get used to it), but I don't think it's fair to also expect that in this price range.

Great sound quality

Excellent sound quality, the vocals are crystal clear, a lot of nice features, and the app control is really useful.

Too good to be true

The mixer is fine to use for recording and podcasting, but if you're looking for the main mixer for bigger audience as a portable dj or for live events - look for something else.

Main output level is too low to use at decent volume, the same is for mic inputs.

Furthermore, the android app often gets non-responsive, so you have to restart it. It doesn't affect the sound, but it gets annoying. Tried it with 2 different phones - same result.

Great mixer

I saw these advertised and thought the price was good and I should give them a try, as I was trying to find a good sound interface for my computer.

They work well to record sound, however, I found it irritating to have to keep using the app to set up the gain (should really have some kind of gain control). I found that it made a great mixer for playing electric guitar, since my effect pedal had no input for mp3, I could use the Bluetooth feature on the Flow for this.

I ended up getting another different interface and also a pair of monitors. This lead to a new problem. My monitors couldn't be plugged into both interfaces. So I solved this by using one of the stereo channels on the flow to connect to the output of my other interface.

Now the Flow mixer has become an integral part of my studio, and I love how it works, as it allows me to quickly connect any input to my monitors.

Would recommend one as they are very useful.

Great idea, but…

I bought this as a super small format digital mixer to mix my brother and I as an acoustic duo. (2 mics, 1 Ac Guit, 1 bass, 1 stomp box, + iPod break music. 2 Aux, FX required/desired)

The features seemed excellent and it was a great price point.

But I used it on one gig and haven’t used it since. In general the sound quality was disappointing, and the wireless control delay/latency made it annoying. Even with plenty of messing around with it before taking it out, when it came to gig time it just under performed and was too cumbersome.

As someone who has worked in corporate Audio Visual a lot, I would recommend this product for small meeting room systems with a couple of inputs such as lectern, lapel, and PC audio. You could hide it under the lectern, or it is nice and small to sit on an operator desk. The compression and EQ options would work fine for this, and the usb intersect would be great for web casting output.

But for live music? It’s a no from me.

Instead I also purchased a small analogue desk (Soundcraft Signature 12MTK) which is excellent!

Lots of features but not for semi or pro use

I'm a full time one man band/full band entertainer looking for a better way to mix wirelessly. This unit is better than others since it uses bluetooth rather than a router to connect to tablet or smartphone. It has lots of features for its price but the MIC PRE, which is my number one requirement can't be utilized for professional set up as I am used to my MIDAS MR12 and SSL6 mixers when performing. I know I can't compare this Behringer model to the latter but I was hoping to get just a decent mic pre to avail its bluetooth wireless control. Adding to its fragility on the road is the power connector (small charging cable can easily detach and ruin your performance). This is good for podcasting, voice over (recording), but not for singing. But if you are not using this for professional set up (serving paying clients), then the FLOW 8 is better than the competition on this price range.

Random whitenoise on all analogue channels

Turned on the mixer today (I use it to combine stream PC and Gaming PC audio) and there is a whitenoise on all analogue channels, the channels set to USB and Bluetooth do not display this whitenoise. I did swap the powercable (not the brick) and noticed the whitenoise, I have now swapped back and the noise is still there. I have a feeling that the Powersupply is the issue.

4-band sweepable equalizer! Highly versatile!

Fantastic piece of kit. Small, yet functional. Metal housing and the knobs and faders give the right amount of resistance. Good sound and no hiss. Has a sweepable 4-band equalizer per channel which was why I got it. The app is great! This is perfect for a personal mixer on stage with my keyboard rig. Love everything about it, including streaming music to it via Bluetooth.

A nice mixer!

If You are looking for small mixer with all digital features - which also can record multitracks over usb - you can stop searching. The Flow 8 is a great mixer. I like the easy handling to connect an iPhone to run both the Flow 8 app and also the Bluetooth pairings which allows you to play music from Spotify etc directly to the mixer. The newer firmware also allows 4 channels to be played back over usb.

I tried multitrack recordings with Roland Zentracker on my iPhone and also my owned developed app for raspberry pi devices - and it records 10 tracks without any problems.

The final step was to use an usb based power pack to see if I could run it completely “free” for concerts outdoors - and with a 20000 mA battery - the mixer did run for 2.5 hours. :-). The only small concerns I did found is the Bluetooth is running with 16bit streams.
