Behringer HD400 Reviews
Perfectly isolated PC noise
I have my PC's line in connected to the tape out of a mixer, then that mixer to another master mixer. Whenever the first mixer was off, I would hear the PC's crackling noise coming out of the master mixer, you know, the noise that gets worse when you move the mouse. I put the HD400 in between the PC and the first mixer, noise is gone.
Breaks ground loops!
If the cause of your hum or noise is a ground loop, this little thing is a great solution! It doesn't try to remove other types of noise, just ground.
An axual life saver
Bought several of these over the years !
I used them in live situations and in studios many times and always seems to work!
Great job Behringer
Didn't work for me!
Perhaps my noise issue isn't a ground loop issue, but this device didn't help at all. It actually made things dramatically worse, but it was worth a try.
Did not do anything
Is this really working?
Did nothing to remove hum.
Perfect
My Roland TR-6s is very noisy when powered via USB. This little box made the sound crystal clean. Just perfect.
Does it's job, what more can you ask?
Does the job without fuss. It loses one star in sound because you can tell it has been added to the signal path, but it's not a substantial difference and not a deal breaker. Also loses one star on quality because one of the jack sockets is not as positive as the others. Overall, a low cost and effective solution to removing the mains hum between my mixer and the powered PA speakers. Recommended.
Awesome!
My studio monitors had a really annoying buzz. Behringer HD400 to the rescue. Dead silent! Cheap, easy and good fix.
Noise elimination
Great device!! I 've been looking for it for so long! My speakers produced a noise the moment I turned them on even by simply moving the mouse no matter the connection and the cables. So, now, with this device no more noise. It works perfectly!
Awesome
Did the job that was advertised to do
Works great!
Simple and well built, you just connect it and it works, solves tons of problems in complex setups.
Takes away the sweet sounds
Plugging in it minimises the humming. However…the sweet sparkling sounds are also filtered away. So no go for me…
Okay, but loss of sound quality
I guess every noise reduction devices takes a bit of the sound quality as well. But the noise is gone...
Works for my needs
I bought the Hum Destroyer because my studio monitors (Yamaha HS80M) were picking up a lot of noise from my computer's GPU when in heavy use, possibly due to a ground loop. The unit removed all of that noise so I am happy.
It does seem a bit flimsy and light and might affect the sound quality a bit but that is an acceptable compromise for getting rid of the noise.
It is okey
It works but not perfect. But recommended for the price. Still get some hum sounds through but it often fix itself if i unplug and plug in the cables again to the pc.
Pros
Works
Easy to plug in
Cons
Sometimes Hum sounds goes through
Didnt work
Doesn't seem to eliminate any hum/noise for me.
does the job on stage
as written on the tin, it does the job and removes buzz/hum on two peripheral. For a studio use the pickiest musician could argue it behave slightly differently from "grounded alims" but I believe that within a mix, it is barely noticeale.
Eliminates GPU coil whine in speakers
I bought this because I had massive coil whine in my PC Speaker caused by the GPU. After I introduced this between my PC DAC and my Speakers the coil whine went away. Solid 10/10, does the job and it's a pretty affordable solution.
BVery cheap
Gets rid of all those nasty hums.
