Behringer MX400 Reviews
Does the job
There is some distortion in sound but can be useful in many applications where you need an easy mix
Very good little mixer,.
I use it for integration in my liveset,. Silent, built like a tank, does exactly what I bought it for,.
Great Mini Mixer
I wanted to have something compact two pur two guitars into one effects pedal. Job done. Works well. Only grumble would be the power cable is a tad short.
Simple, small, low noise.
If you need to easily mix several instruments together, the MX400 is the best solution.
Simple gear!
Simple gear and perfect!
Nice little mixer
Nice little Mixer. I Used it to combine some mics before putting them into my audio interface. Everything was solid and worked well!
good enough for me
I just wanted something decent and simple for home playing, for split signal in one amp or similar. And I bought just that - a simple, sturdy little mixer that I can put in my pocket.
Cheap but really bad audio quality
Plugged in 2 synths, i can't keep both at a nice level, if i raise both high, they become really distorted. Gotta keep both at 50% and lose audio quality
Good value for the money but be aware it's a MONO line mixer
Well done, robust and small. Who needs a mono mixer today? Well, at this price it might still be worth it if you only need to mix mono signals (guitar and other instruments in my case). So, great value for the money, although the mono feature makes it a very limited device.
so good I purchased a second one
Simple handy tool.
Nice and simple 4 channel mixer. It would be nice if the mixer has rubber pads underneath.
It mixes 4 lines.... no fuss, job done.
Use in my dawless set up. I plug all the lines in to it and away you go.
Does what it’s meant to, sound quality decent, gain useful for balancing out levels.
Great value for money in a little box.
Good little line mixer for combining signals
output is mono so keep that in mind. Build is good, metal case. Knobs are sturdy. Power supply is included so it's ready to go. Works as it should. Wish it was stereo out (for headphones), but works as a way to combine audio from 4 devices.
Why is there no power switch???
For only 20 bucks it works fine, as you would expect from such a cheap mixer. It outputs in mono only, which is a drawback. It is quite noisy even at low volumes, and occasionally there is a low humming noise present. My main problem is that there is no power switch! I have to plug the darn thing in every time i want to turn it on! Why???
Bang for the buck!
+ it's cheap and works as expected;
+ built like a tank;
+ sounds good unless you max its output (you'll get an overdrive in this case);
+ it's quite useful if you need to connect a few instruments to your main mixer or sound interface and has limited inputs on it;
+ but NOTICE! in case you want to use its output with headphones you will need mono to stereo adapter, e.g. "the sssnake 1936 Adapter".
Another Gear Essential
If you're looking to extend your Line Level inputs then look no further. A great little cost effective unit which multiplies your channel input count. Highly recommended.
Simple, budget 4-channel mixer
Very simple 4-channel mixer. It introduces some noise but it is bearable for the money.
It's great for the price
I think this mixer is great for it's price. I use it to mix my volca fm with my minilogue. The metal build quality is great, and I love that the power supply is included. My only problem with this mixer, is that I wish the output was stereo, instead of mono. Since the output is mono when I connect my headphones to the mixer, I can only hear sound through one ear. If you want to fix this you'll need a mono to stereo adapter, which are pretty inexpensive.
Neat piece of equipment
I bought this to combine two guitar channels into one (one with effects and one clean). I wanted something that lets me adjust their corresponding volumes. So Behringer MX400 is definitely doing the trick. I would have loved if the output was stereo and panning options were available, but nevertheless this is a great product. It's actually quite solid, sturdy-made which was impressive for Behringer.
Great little minimal mixer
I bought this item in order to use it with Korg Volcas and Monontrons. It's great for a minimal (mono) setup, where your sound depends on the instruments you use (although you could use effect pedals between the units and the mixer). I've also used it as a temporary solution to have more channels in my (small) mixer before upgrading.
