Excellent product

No hesitation in recommending. Your drummer will love these. Stereo too so send stage left and right to different ears.

For this price... Excellent

Only thing i would say is the battery compartment is a little fiddly to swap out the battery. Otherwise great

Very good quality and price for wired IEM

Use

I use it as headphone amplifier with analogue mixer and also IEM monitoring from digital mixer (aux sends) .

Pros

Built like tank. No problems with battery cover. For live shows i use batteries (undustrial 9V krona) and unit run on one battery for 4-5 gigs (2 hours long). For studio to use prefer 9V adapter.

Clip is good and strong, fits on belt very well.

Cons:

Possibly size can be little bit smaller:)

Summary:

Recommended as a start set wired IEM, to understand advantages and disadvantages of this monitoring.

An essential part of modern PA kit

This is by far the best value for money headphone amp for live use on the market. It has ALL the features you need to do wired In-Ear Monitoring. I have 6 of these, enough to do a band and in the days of digital mixers with 16 mix outputs there is no excuse for not being able to offer an in-ear option. The case is strong, battery compartment easy to use, mono mode is helpful, volume controls easy to use, the clip fits easily over belts, pockets or clothing, easily fits in a jacket pocket. Most importantly the output level is high and with Eneloop Pro rechargeable batteries I got 4 hours use at full volume.

In Ear for Keyboard Player

We use this on shows for our Keyboard player as in ear monitor.

The Powerplay is patched directly into the mixer to receive the click track and everything else needed for monitoring.

Pros.

- The device can be used in stereo or mono.

- It is cheap

- Sound is good.

Cons

- The belt buckle is a little awkward to use.

Fantastic Product

I use this thing every time i gig and It's built like a tank! Have recommended this to a few different musicians and they all love it.

The would say the only down side is when the desk is a bit far away you need a long XLR lead but that's nothing bad.

Great headphone amp! but weak mono signal, (but i made a solution!)

So i used this as soon i got it ( 2 units ) for a show doing monitoring, the main problem i had was that when im using only 1 Aux out (from X32) into the P1, and using it in mono mode, the signal is too weak. i noticed this when i click the stereo mode, the sound came in from 1 side but louder. Went back home, soldered a 1 Female XLR to 2 Male XLR and tadaaaa, volume improves. however somehow using a stereo (2 channel) mix from x32 still has more output. so if you're planning on getting this i recomend only using it with stereo, if mono, im guessing getting a Behringer P2 would be better, altho ive yet to try that out.

Howeverrrr, if u have already bought it and need a solution, make/get a 1 female to 2 male XLR splitter, it will improve volume by atleast 20% i reckon! Cheers! cant wait to play with it in shows again.

i give 4 star for overall because of the volume issue in mono, belt clip not clipping nicely, sounds pretty good i guess!

Great headphone amp

We use those little things regularly with bands I mix. All musicians are happy with the quality of the sound and they even prefer the sound of the P1 to the PSM900.

Bros: good sound quality. Battery backup in case the power adapter fails.

Cons: little heavy. Buttons gets switched easily.

Robust metal construction the sound is excellent for the price.

The only tragic spot is the cheap battery lid is simple a crap.

If you use an AC/DC adapter is an excellent choice!

Not a great product

For the price the product is ok, but it feels a bit cheap and nasty... It has the worst 9V battery holder ever... Behringer should really consider changing this to using 2 X AA batteries as the 9V battery cable can easily snap..

good stuff for the money

Granted quality at a good price

At this price point there this is the best solution. Simple and robust device, with good amp which allows to drive all kinds of headphones.

Could be smaller and lighter but it is still portable and belt usable.

This is built like a tank with some weak points

Battery compartment is bad. The machine is a bit bulky. For the rest a great peace of gear.

A very handy, cheap in-ear monitor

I use these regularly in live band situations. The work very well and are simple to use, with all the controls that you would expect. The unit is quite large but this is not a problem. The only issue that I have noticed (on both the units that I bought) is that the battery compartment is very tight and that the compartment lid is, well, a bit rubbish. It doesn't click-in solidly. HOWEVER, I just squeeze a battery in and use a bit of black Gaffer tape to hold the cover on. At this price, it's hard to complain...

Best choice for low-budget in-ear monitoring

I'm a bass player that does a lot of different type of gigs, from small pubs to big scenes.

I always put on my strap via the belt clip and I had 0 trouble with it.

The sound is good and the features are great!

The only thing i'm not really ok about is that the battery slot is a little too well fitted and if you're in a rush, trying to change the battery, you might struggle in your first attempts. (nothing you can't get better with some little practice and/or some smart battery changing "hacks" - check the other reviews ;) )

I really like this product and I would recommend it to anyone!

Great little unit!

Replaced a mixing desk with this unit for my in ear monitors - I am a drummer. Its super portable and the belt clip works for me.

It works beautifully and the battery seems to last a long time. I have had no issues with the battery clip as I saw in some other review.

Highly recommended!!
